One of the things I ask my clients is to identify one place that brings them peace. Somewhere they can access and take the space to feel
A place that calls to them in the most challenging times
Today I followed my own advice
I’ve never been to church, apart from weddings and funerals
I don’t observe any religion and don’t pray to a God in a traditional sense
But this has been my go-to place of calm in the busy city for many, many, years
Silence and stillness like nowhere else, steeped in history and charm
After 12 days of stretching my mothering muscles to the point of no repair, it was this place I craved upon waking this morning
The stories and history behind these precious walls are what call to me time and time again
Hidden out of site, just beyond the never ending noise and buzz of Covent Garden
It used to confuse me that this was my place of solace. I’ve learned to accept it and lean into it
Intuition has me return. Peace of mind has me sit. Hope keeps my going
My wish is for everyone to have a place as special as this, even if it makes no sense. Fx
