I believe life has taught me that language is key to success and fulfillment, as we spend our lives learning to communicate with the world around us. However, there’s one language that many of us were never truly taught: the language of our inner experiences.

This involves putting words to our feelings, understanding why certain things affect us, and getting to know ourselves better. For many, this journey begins only in adulthood.

I found myself wondering… what if our children didn’t have to wait that long? What if we could provide them with the tools that many of us had to learn along the way?

A little more language.
A little more space.
A way to start getting to know themselves.

That’s where “Billy Learns to Glow” comes in✨

It’s a story that doesn’t have to end on the last page.

“Billy Learns to Glow” is available on Amazon🤍

Anyone else?

It’s lovely🦁
We’re making memories 🥁
The kids are having the best time🎯

And I’m just… slightly losing the plot🙈🌊

No routine, everyone’s hungry again, the house is a state, and somehow it’s still only mid-August.

If you’re feeling a bit touched out, snappy or completely done…

Same, honestly.

You’re not doing it wrong, it's just a lot🍄

We spend so much time trying to make sure every child gets an equal share of us.

But children don’t experience love as a stopwatch.

They experience it through connection.

Through eye contact.
Through feeling seen.
Through those moments when we’re truly with them.

That’s often the work we do together.

Not finding more hours in the day...
But finding our way back to the moment we’re already in.

Some stories are written long before they reach the page.

This one began with two mothers.

A mama from Ukraine.
A mama from Israel.

In years marked by conflict, uncertainty and hearts learning to carry more than they ever imagined, we found home in art.

She painted.
I wrote.

Somewhere between her brush and my words, Billy began to glow.

What moves me most isn’t simply that we made a children’s book.
It’s that we chose to create something magical in a world that often feels anything but.

Because every child deserves to grow up believing that, even when life is noisy, there is a quiet voice inside worth listening to.

That’s the heart of Billy Learns to Glow.
Not teaching children to be perfect.
Not teaching them to be fearless.
But helping them pause... notice... and trust themselves.

Today is your birthday, and I wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for pouring your heart into every page.
For seeing Billy before he existed.
For helping turn a dream into something families can hold in their hands.

May this little bear remind children everywhere that their inner light never disappears - it only asks to be noticed.

Happy Birthday dear!! .art

I used to think the hardest moments in parenting were my children’s 😳

The tears

The meltdowns

The big emotions

But if I’m honest...the hardest part was what those moments brought up in me.

It took me a while to realise that maybe my job wasn’t to make the feelings disappear.

Maybe it was to help my children and myself learn how to move through them.

That small shift changed the way I parent.

And, without me knowing it at the time... it also became the beginning of Billy 🦋

If you’ve ever felt helpless in the middle of your child’s big feelings, you’re not alone.

22/07/2026

One of the biggest shifts in my parenting wasn’t learning how to stop the tears.

It was realising that the tears were never the problem.

Like so many parents, I thought my role was to make my children feel better as quickly as possible.

“It’s okay”

“Don’t cry”

“Let’s move on”

I wasn’t trying to dismiss their feelings.

I simply wanted to take away their pain.

But over time, I realised something that changed the way I parent forever.

Children don’t need fewer emotions.

They need the skills to understand them.

No child is born knowing how to recognise frustration.

Name disappointment.

Calm an overwhelmed body.

Or ask for help instead of shouting.

These aren’t personality traits.

They’re life skills.

And just like learning to read or ride a bike...they can be learned.

As a parenting coach and even more importantly, as a mum I’ve seen how powerful one simple conversation can be.

When children begin to understand what’s happening inside them, they slowly learn to trust themselves.

That belief became the heart of Billy Learns to Glow.

I didn’t want to write just another bedtime story.

I wanted to create a story that helps families build emotional skills together, one conversation at a time.

I’d love to hear from you - which emotion feels hardest for your child to understand right now?

Today’s confession isn’t about dinner.

It’s about the invisible weight of always being the one who knows, remembers and decides 🦋

What’s the one question you’ve answered a hundred times today? 😅👇

There are moments in motherhood that catch us completely off guard, not because of what our child says...But because of what it stirs inside us.

The other day, Uriel spoke to me in a way that instantly made me want to defend myself. And for a split second...I wasn’t just a mum talking to her child, I was every version of me that had ever felt dismissed.

That’s what humbled me.

He wasn’t creating that feeling, he was simply touching a place that was already there.

Our children have an incredible way of introducing us to ourselves, not just to our patience...But to our fears, our unmet needs and the stories we still carry about who we are.

I’ve learned that the boundary I set sounds very different depending on who INSIDE ME is speaking.

The part that’s protecting an old wound...or the mother I’m choosing to become.

Maybe that’s the real invitation our children give us.

Not to become better at controlling them...but to become more connected to ourselves.

Today was one of THOSE days.

From the moment Haniel woke up, it felt like everything was a battle.

The “no’s”
The throwing
The frustration
The big emotions
The constant testing of boundaries.

If you’ve ever parented a two-year-old, you probably know exactly the kind of day I’m talking about.

By the time she slapped me across the face, it wasn’t just about the slap.

It was the hundred TINY moments that had come before it.

And that’s something we don’t talk about enough.

We rarely lose our patience because of ONE moment.

We lose it because our nervous system has been carrying the weight of the whole day.

The slap simply landed on a cup that was already full.

That was my reminder.

My daughter’s behaviour wasn’t asking me, “Can you control me?”

It was quietly asking, “Can you stay with me while I’m struggling?”

But before I could answer her I had to answer MYSELF.

Could I stay with my own frustration without letting it become hers?

On that moment, the answer was: not yet.

So I called my husband and asked him to step in.

Not because I was failing.

Because I wanted my response to come from intention instead of overwhelm.

That’s something I’ve learned over the years: sometimes the most connected thing we can do is recognise that we’re no longer the calmest person in the room.

The “terrible twos” aren’t terrible because our children are difficult.

They’re challenging because they’re learning how to live with feelings they don’t yet know how to carry.

And while they’re learning that…

We’re learning something too.

We’re learning to meet the parent that shows up inside us.

The one we want to keep growing.

🪻If this resonated with you, send it to another mum who needs the reminder that asking for help isn’t weakness - it’s conscious parenting.
