At St Michael’s the Parish Nurses, we’re here to support the health and wellbeing of our local community in a caring, compassionate and confidential environment.

☕ Community Coffee Morning

Alongside our coffee morning, our Parish Nurse team offers:

Community Health & Wellbeing Support Hub
• Help finding local services
• Health and wellbeing advice
• Health education and promotion
• A friendly space to talk
• Blood Pressure Checks

💙 Listening Space
Every Tuesday, 1.15pm–2.30pm (following the Healing Service), offering confidential, compassionate listening, emotional support and prayer if desired.

Everyone is welcome, whatever your background or circumstances. There is no need to book—just come along and say hello.

What is a Parish Nurse?

A Parish Nurse is an experienced Registered Nurse who has received specialist training to serve within a church or Christian organisation.

They serve people of all ages and faiths or none, offering wholistic care that encompasses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Parish Nurses do not replace NHS services or provide medical treatments such as administering medication or changing dressings. Instead, we focus on:

✅ Health education and promotion
✅ Listening and emotional support
✅ Signposting and connecting people to local services
✅ Supporting individuals to manage their own health and well-being
✅ Pastoral and spiritual care
✅ Prayer and faith-based support, if requested

At St Michael’s Croydon Parish Nurses, everyone is welcome. We are here to listen, support, encourage, and help you access the services and resources you need.

What a wonderful day we had on Saturday at the Learning Disability Carnival in Croydon!

The Parish Nursing team was delighted to have a table at this wonderful community event, where we had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people, share information about our service, and chat about health, wellbeing, and the support we can offer.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, and shared a smile with us. It was a joy to be part of such an inclusive, fun-filled day celebrating our local community.

A big thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who made the carnival such a success. We look forward to seeing you all again at future community events! 💙
