I thought I'd recognise perimenopause straight away.
I'm a menopause doctor. I've spent years helping women understand their symptoms and find the right treatment.
Then it happened to me.
I missed it in myself for over a year.
I blamed stress, work, motherhood and being busy.
Even when I finally realised what was going on, I thought HRT would be a quick fix.
It wasn't.
Finding what worked took time, patience and more trial and error than I expected.
Looking back, I thought I should have known sooner.
Now I know why so many women question themselves.
So if you're wondering whether it's really perimenopause, if you're still joining the dots, or if you're not feeling better as quickly as you'd hoped...
You're not imagining it.
And you're not failing.
Sometimes it's much harder to see when you're the one living it.
What symptom made you finally join the dots?
