My camera roll this week šŸ’•
I’ve barely left the house, only for appointments. Spending this time to bond, establish feeding and to settle into life as a family of 5. And I’ve been napping a lot with the baby.

šŸ“šI wrote about this in all my books - in many cultures around the world it’s normal for mums to stay at home for 4-6 weeks, eat warming foods, rest and bond with their baby.

I’ve barely put Monroe down, she’s happiest on me and we’ve been co-sleeping from birth. Her fav feeding position is the rugby ball hold. This is great if you’re struggling to get a deep latch or have had a c-section.
I also find this position works well in the evening when my supply has dipped and she’s getting a little frustrated with the slower flow.

Protecting your postnatal peace is so important. Still can’t believe I have 3 kids, when I feel like I was 19 last week…time sure does fly!

Sending love x

Exclusively breastfeeding is tiring. Newborns have tiny tummies and are establishing supply in those early weeks. If your baby cluster feeds, mainly wants to be on you and feeds very frequently these are often all very normal behaviour for a newborn.

If you have any concerns always speak to your midwife and if you have the budget for it, lactation consultants are fantastic and can quickly help you rectify issues.

Sending love and rest (when you can)! X

AD • One thing more parents need to know about private pregnancy scans
Not everyone offering sonography services in the UK is regulated in the same way but many people simply don’t realise that.
When you’re booking a private scan, it’s so easy to focus on availability or price… but it’s also important to check the practitioner themselves.
A really simple thing to look for is the government-backed PSA Quality Mark.
It shows the sonographer is on an accredited register that checks things like:
qualifications
professional standards
ongoing competence
complaints procedures
So before booking a scan:
Look before you book

The transformation of the female body is nothing short of miraculous. Postpartum recovery can have long term impacts - it’s important to start pelvic floor exercises as soon as possible, listen to your body and what it is telling you, nap and consider continuing pregnancy supplements.

Morning x are you ok to post the Nurture ā€˜Decision Fatigue’ post today…. see caption below:-

Decision fatigue is so common in pregnancy.

With so much advice online, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Most women aren’t looking for more information - they’re looking for confidence in what really matters.

What’s one area of pregnancy you’ve found most confusing? šŸ‘‡šŸ¤

Also... I’m so excited to share that my partnership with .uk is about to level up! We’ve got some exciting things planned over the next couple of months, so watch this space. ✨

My camera roll recently šŸ’•

We chose the name Monroe as it’s part of Andy’s Scottish heritage. Monroe started as a Scottish clan surname before becoming a first name. Andy’s mum is from Perth - in Scotland and she’s our rock.

It’s completely different to the names we previously chosen (Georgie and Frankie) so we’ve also got her little nickname ā€œMonieā€.

She’s fit in fast and after a matter of days I can’t imagine life without her. It’s funny how fast that happens.

Feeling so emotional about this being our last baby and wondering how this is the last time 🄹
