Are you intimidated by the idea of fasting? You’re not alone! Starting a fast can be a daunting task, but with the right mindset, it can be a transformative experience. Here are some psychological tricks to help you get started:

Start small: Don’t jump into a 24-hour fast right away. Start with a shorter fast, like skipping breakfast or dinner. Gradually increase the duration as you get comfortable.

Reframe your mindset: Instead of thinking of it as ‘not eating’, think of it as giving your body a chance to rest and reset. Focus on the health benefits rather than the discomfort.

Stay busy: Keep yourself occupied during your fast with activities that don’t involve food, like reading, meditating, or going for a walk. This will help distract you from any hunger pangs.

Monitor your progress: Keep a record of how long you fasted and how you felt during and after the fast. This will help you track your progress and motivate you to keep going.

Remember, fasting is not for everyone and it’s important to listen to your body. If you experience any discomfort or negative symptoms, it’s okay to stop or seek advice from a healthcare professional. Give it a try and see how you feel!
