💜 A SPECIAL MESSAGE 💜

Sometimes, working in care can be difficult. And then there are days like today, where it can feel like the most rewarding day of your life. ❤️

I’ve just seen the photos of one of our lovely clients enjoying lunch with her family in Paris. Seeing her smile in front of that Parisian backdrop, with her dedicated carer Allison by her side, genuinely moved me.

In home care, we have stressful days. We have long days. But these are the moments that make every second worthwhile.
This trip wasn’t just “sorted.” It was a masterclass in teamwork. Behind that one photo was a powerhouse team of women pulling together to navigate complex travel insurances, detailed risk assessments, bespoke care plan updates, regulatory compliance checks and seamless coordination with the wider care team
To my team: I am so humbled by you. You didn’t just do your jobs, you were genuinely excited to make this happen safely and with such kindness. Your effort, your heart, and your dedication to our clients is why we are an “Outstanding” CQC service.

And a HUGE shoutout to the incredible Allison. Thank you for everything you do out in the field. You bring so much joy, dignity, and care to our clients’ lives. We are so, so lucky to have you.
I am so grateful I got into care. Today, I’m just reminded of how much I love what we do. 🌟

Four years of friendship and counting! 🌿🤝

Meet Mike and Peter. They were matched almost four years ago, and today, they are the best of friends. Peter is an avid gardener, and Mike is always there several times a week to support him, ensuring he can continue enjoying the hobbies he loves.

Continuity of care is at the heart of what we do. Peter recently shared his journey with us: "Third time lucky? The lovely CEO of Walfinch arrived on time... she presented me with her idea of a 'match'; a more mature gent who fitted the bill perfectly. At Walfinch, we believe that providing outstanding care requires more than just a kind heart - it requires specialist skills. That’s why all our carers are specially trained at our dedicated training centre in Hammersmith. These sessions are led personally by our Registered Manager, Magdalena, who has a deep-seated passion for supporting those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s (D&A). 🧠💙

By sharing her expertise in small, focused groups, Magda ensures our team is equipped with the latest techniques and a compassionate understanding of neurocognitive conditions. When you choose Walfinch, you are choosing a team that is trained to the highest possible standard.
