☀️🥵 HOT WEEK AHEAD? YOU CAN STILL STAY ON TRACK! 🥵☀️
The heat can make us feel tired, hungry, less motivated and more tempted by ice creams, BBQs and cold drinks. But with a little planning, you can stay comfortable and keep moving towards your goal. 💪🏽
💧 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
Aim for at least 2.25–2.5 litres of water a day. Carry a water bottle with you and sip little and often rather than waiting until you’re thirsty.
🧊 Keep your products cold
Ready-to-drink shakes, smoothies and water taste even more refreshing straight from the fridge. Try serving shakes over ice too.
🥗 Choose lighter meals
Think salads, lean protein, crunchy vegetables and foods that don’t require lots of cooking.
⏰ Plan ahead
If you’re attending a BBQ, picnic or social event, decide in advance what you’ll have rather than making decisions in the moment.
🚶♀️ Move when it’s cooler
Walk early in the morning or later in the evening. The heat isn’t the time to be exercising in the middle of the day.
😴 Prioritise sleep
Hot nights can affect sleep, and poor sleep can increase cravings the next day. Keep your bedroom cool, stay hydrated and stick to a routine where possible.
⚖️ Don’t panic about the scales
Hot weather can cause temporary water retention. Focus on following your plan and drinking your water rather than worrying about daily fluctuations.
🌟 Remember why you started
The heatwave will pass, but the healthy habits you’re building can last a lifetime. Stay in your lane, follow your plan and keep taking those small daily actions that add up to big results.
This week’s challenge: Keep your water bottle close and tick off your water target every day! 💧✅
