A Catering Award Win to Celebrate! 🏆

We’re delighted to have picked up the Operator of the Year – Innovative Kitchen Design Award at the 2026 Foodservice Equipment Journal Awards, making Barchester the first healthcare organisation to be recognised.

The award celebrates our investment in smarter, more efficient and future ready catering equipment, made possible with the support of our equipment partners, such as, GS Group, RATIONAL UK & IE, Hobart Service UK, Falcon and Williams Refrigeration.

Spotlight on Our Staff! 🌟

In another edition of our staff spotlight series, we’re catching up with Adi and his Barchester journey.

Adi joined us in 2020 as a Care Assistant at Boroughbridge Manor Care Home, before taking on a new challenge as the Head of Housekeeping. Adi soon returned back to his roots and now has been promoted to a Senior Carer 👏

He's incredibly passionate about his residents and building genuine relationships with them and their families, helping everyone feel safe, comfortable and supported.

There’s plenty more to come from Adi, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! 💚

CQC Celebration at Vecta House Care Home! 🎉

Big congrats to the team at Vecta House Care Home for achieving a GOOD rating following their recent inspection from the CQC.

They’ve all worked so incredibly hard to achieve this, so to celebrate they had an unforgettable day of festivities that included lots of delicious food (and cake!), visits from community members and live music.

Kirkburn Court Does Come Dine With Me! 🍽️

Margaret, the Second Chef at Kirkburn Court Care Home, wanted some feedback on potential new menu dishes, so the team came up with the perfect solution of a special Come Dine With Me with the residents.

There was plenty of tasting, plenty of opinions and, most importantly, plenty of fun as everyone got stuck in and shared their thoughts.

What a brilliant way to put the residents at the heart of mealtimes and make sure their voices are heard when it comes to meal times 👏

A little luxury is on the way! 🏗️

We’ve officially broken ground on Heathland Lodge Care Home in , a new 60-bed luxury facility coming to life by Kori Construction Limited.

Opening in early 2028, this beautifully designed, purpose-built home will ooze comfort in every corner and feature the likes of a cinema room, spa bathrooms, luxurious dining and en-suite bedrooms.

A little glimpse of what’s to come, and it’s already looking rather spectacular! ⭐
