Progress doesn’t always happen overnight... and that’s okay.

This review reflects something we talk about a lot in clinic: clear diagnosis, the right exercises at the right stage, and adapting the plan as things change. Building gradually and layering in more specific work can make all the difference over time.

We really appreciate this feedback and the commitment it takes to stay consistent through recovery.

A podiatrist’s take on running shoes 👇

Choosing a running shoe isn’t about fashion… it’s about biomechanics.

The wrong shoe can contribute to injury; the right one can improve comfort, efficiency, and how you move over time.

One model I’m often asked about is the HOKA Bondi 9. 🤔

Some of its key features include:
👉 Soft, cushioned feel — the midsole foam is designed to absorb impact and feel comfortable underfoot, especially on longer walks or runs
👉 Slight difference between heel and forefoot height — this can feel more natural and comfortable for some people
👉 Very cushioned sole — offers plenty of shock absorption
👉 Smooth “rolling” feel as you move — helps your foot transition from heel to toe more easily
👉 Supportive heel design — the heel sits securely within the shoe, which can help it feel stable without being restrictive
👉 Wide, stable base — helps the shoe feel steady rather than wobbly
👉 Comfortable, well-padded upper around the ankle — designed to reduce rubbing and improve overall fit
👉 Hard-wearing sole — built to last in areas that take the most wear

As always, no shoe is right for everyone — the best choice depends on your individual biomechanics, training load, and injury history.

Not knowing what to expect can be one of the biggest barriers to booking an appointment.

Your first appointment is about understanding your symptoms properly, assessing what’s contributing, and giving you clear guidance on the best way forward. There’s time to ask questions, and everything is explained in a way that makes sense for you.

If you’ve been unsure whether to book, we hope this helps clarify what that first step looks like.
