Ever thought of using HRT spray for menopause?

HRT spray is quick, easy to use, and can be brilliant for treating those common symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog and anxiety.

Because it’s absorbed through the skin, it may also suit some women better than oral HRT tablets.

If you would like to know more about HRT spray (or any other HRT options) speak to our team. Link in bio 🥰

Waking at 3am every night in menopause? 😴

You are definitely not alone.

Many women describe the exact same pattern:
Falling asleep normally… then suddenly waking with anxiety, racing thoughts, night sweats, or no obvious trigger at all.

Because melatonin is marketed as a “natural sleep hormone”, lots of women understandably wonder whether it might help.

But menopause sleep problems are often much more complex than a simple melatonin deficiency.

And while it can help some women (particularly those struggling to fall asleep) the evidence overall is actually fairly mixed.

“I started feeling too anxious to drive on the motorway once I hit perimenopause.”

This is actually more common than you think.

In fact, anxiety as a whole impacts a lot of women during menopause.

If you’re suffering, please know that you don’t have to feel like this and there are multiple options to make you feel more like yourself again 💛

The Menopause Care team are thrilled to see that PCOS is officially being renamed as PMOS.

PMOS stands for Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome – a name that much more accurately reflects what this condition actually is.

Despite the term “polycystic o***y syndrome”, women with PCOS do not have ovarian cysts.

For years, this misunderstanding has caused huge confusion around diagnosis, treatment and awareness.

This name change follows more than a decade of research, advocacy and global collaboration involving women with lived experience, healthcare professionals and patient organisations.

A more accurate name may help:

❤️ improve awareness and understanding
❤️ reduce stigma and misinformation
❤️ support earlier diagnosis
❤️ improve research and funding
❤️ help women feel more seen and understood

There will now be a 3-year transition period where both PCOS and PMOS are used together.

The condition itself has not changed, but hopefully the understanding around it finally will 🥰

Should I be worried about bleeding during menopause?

This is a common worry, but most of the time unexpected bleeding is nothing serious.

Once you are officially in menopause (no periods for at least 12 months) it is worth speaking to a Doctor if you see some spotting. Just to be on the safe side ❤️
