DOES ACUSKINLIFT™
CREATE AN INVISIBLE THREAD?

No

AND THAT IS EXACTLY
WHY THE RESULT
STILL LOOKS LIKE YOU!

During controlled needle rotation,
the needle can mechanically couple
with the collagen-rich superficial fascial tissue.

That interaction creates a physical,
thread-like tension I feel beneath my fingers
and can produce a visible structural lifting effect.

The result is immediate tightening
and refinement of the facial contour.

Not an implanted thread.
Not a foreign material.
Not an artificial modification.

What you see is a lifting effect created
by working precisely with your own tissue,
not by forcing an artificial structure upon it.

The clinical objective is clear:

A face that appears firmer.
Contours that look sharply defined.
A result that remains recognisably yours.

Visible lift
No artificial look

For clients who demand visible structural results
without looking obviously treated.

AcuSkinLift™ FAQ page is now live.

I’ve added a new FAQ section to the landing page to answer the questions I’m most often asked:

How is AcuSkinLift™ different from a facial?
How does it compare with filler?
How long do results last?
Who is it suitable for?
What should you expect from treatment?

AcuSkinLift™ is not simply a surface facial. It is a clinical method working with precise needle placement, tissue engagement, connective-tissue response, collagen remodelling and structural tone.

This is NOT an anti-sunscreen post. It is an anti-misinformation post.

I saw a viral video claiming that a huge study proved sunscreen causes skin cancer.

It sounds frightening.

But the claim is misleading.

The study being shared was not a sunscreen trial. It was a UK Biobank gene-environment analysis looking at DNA repair genes and skin-cancer risk.

The viral posts focus on one statistic: people who reported frequent sun protection had higher rates of some skin cancers.

But that does not mean sunscreen caused the cancer.

The people most likely to use sun protection are often already the people at higher risk: fairer skin, more outdoor exposure, previous sun damage, or previous skin-cancer concern.

That is the missing context.

Association is not causation.

The sun remains the carcinogen.
Not the bottle.

Sunscreen is not perfect, and it is not permission to bake in the sun. But used sensibly with shade, clothing, timing and reapplication it remains part of serious skin protection.

The real danger is not SPF.

It is a viral headline that makes people stop protecting their skin.

Have you seen this claim online?

A woman said to me recently in clinic:
“I don’t feel like myself. My skin looks dull, tired, with no life.”

That sentence stayed with me.

Because many women do not come for treatment because they want to look “younger” in an artificial way.

They come because their face no longer reflects how they feel inside.

They still feel alive.
They still feel elegant.
They still feel themselves.

But the mirror is showing tiredness, heaviness, dullness, stress, and a loss of vitality.

This is not always about wrinkles.

Sometimes the face begins to show biological fatigue before it shows dramatic ageing.

Poor sleep, chronic stress, inflammation, reduced circulation, facial tension and slower repair capacity can all affect how the skin looks and how the face holds itself.

This is why I do not treat facial ageing as a surface beauty problem.

The face is living tissue.

Skin. Fascia. Circulation. Collagen. Repair. Nervous-system tone.

Acuskinlift™ was developed from over 30 years of clinical acupuncture experience to work with the face as living tissue, not as decoration.

Not frozen.
Not filled.
Not distorted.

Rested. Lifted. Alive.

For women who no longer recognise the tiredness in their face, Acuskinlift™ offers a clinical approach to skin longevity, by assessment only.

The man trying to outrun ageing has just been diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune stomach condition.

Bryan Johnson has spent millions trying to optimise every part of his biology.

Sleep.
Diet.
Supplements.
Testing.
Tracking.
Protocols.

And still, his body revealed something his routine could not prevent.

This is not proof that longevity work is pointless.

It is proof that the fantasy is dangerous.

Health optimisation is not immortality.
Data is not a force field.
A perfect protocol does not make the body untouchable.

But it can make the hidden detectable.

And that may be the real lesson here.

The true work of longevity is not pretending we can defeat biology.

It is learning how to listen earlier.

To detect earlier.
To build resilience.
To respond before the body has to shout.

Maybe the future of health is not about becoming invincible.

Maybe it is about becoming less blind.

Detection. Resilience. Response.

That is where real longevity begins.

After 30 years of clinical development, the Acuskinlift™ Clinical Academy opens in early autumn.

This is not another aesthetics course.

Acuskinlift™ is a proprietary facial tissue remodelling methodology built around tissue intelligence, precision needle tissue engagement and clinical judgement.

The first Founding Practitioner Circle will be intentionally limited, allowing for direct mentorship and close clinical supervision.

Created for qualified practitioners who demand more for their patients and their craft.

Most before and afters aren’t lying on purpose.
They’re lying on timing.

A photograph taken minutes after a session shows you swelling, light, and expression. It tells you nothing about what your tissue went on to do once you’d left the room.

Epidermal healing, cellular turnover, and collagen remodelling all run on different clocks, none of which finish before you’ve checked the result in a mirror. Swipe through to see what each one actually involves, and why a same day photo was never going to capture it.

I don’t publish same day results. Looking convincing and being true aren’t the same claim.

Quick fixes fade. Biology compounds and rewards.

If your last “before and after” was taken the same day, what do you think it was actually measuring?

Enquires welcome.

A meaningful milestone.

For more than thirty years, clinical observation has shaped how I understand needle–tissue interaction in facial acupuncture.

I am honoured to share that my first scientific abstract has been accepted for poster presentation at the RCCM 2026 Conference.

The abstract, titled “Methodological Framework for Investigating Needle–Tissue Engagement in Facial Acupuncture,” examines how needle direction, rotation, retention, and tissue engagement influence biological response, principles that sit at the core of the AcuSkinLift™ Method, the approach I have developed over three decades of clinical practice in Harley Street and internationally.

This represents an important step in translating years of clinical observation into a structured framework for formal research and, in time, for education.

Some methods are inherited.

This one was built.

After more than 30 years of clinical practice including over two decades on Harley Street I developed Acuskinlift™ as a structured clinical methodology integrating acupuncture, facial anatomy, tissue physiology, and contemporary understanding of skin ageing into a single framework.

It was not created in a classroom.

It evolved through thousands of patient consultations, continuous refinement, and a commitment to asking deeper questions about how tissue responds, adapts, and ages.

Today, I am delighted to share that the Acuskinlift™ Clinical Academy has been recognised as an IICT Training Provider, bringing formal educational recognition to a methodology that has been developed through decades of clinical practice.

At the same time, two scientific papers arising from this work have recently been submitted for peer review, marking the beginning of a new chapter focused on research, education, and scientific dialogue.

For practitioners who believe that technique alone is not enough and that understanding the biology behind what we do matters I look forward to sharing more in the months ahead.

Harley Street. Clinical practice. Scientific inquiry.

The methodology reflects all three.

What if skin ageing is not primarily a cosmetic issue, but a biological one?

I’ve just spent two inspiring days from 27-29th of May, at Clinique La Prairie’s Longevity Hub in Madrid, immersed in conversations around healthspan, regenerative medicine, and the future of how we age.

One thing is becoming increasingly clear:

Longevity is no longer about simply living longer.

It’s about preserving vitality, cognitive function, resilience, metabolic health… and yes, skin integrity too.

Because our skin is not separate from our biology.

Collagen quality, inflammation, circulation, nervous system balance, recovery capacity, these all shape how we age, both internally and visibly.

This philosophy has long informed my own clinical work.

AcuSkinLift™ was never conceived as a superficial aesthetic treatment, but as a regenerative approach to supporting facial structure, tissue vitality, and skin longevity through science-led acupuncture.

I believe the future of aesthetic medicine will increasingly move in this direction:

less correction, more preservation.

Do you think ageing well starts long before visible ageing appears?

👇 I’d love to hear your thoughts.
