One of the easiest ways I boost the nutritional value of almost every meal?

🥜 Nuts and seeds.

I add them to salads, porridge, yoghurt, soups and even vegetables for extra fibre, healthy fats, plant protein and important minerals.

Where I can, I choose activated nuts and seeds, as they're often easier to digest and have a great crunch too.

Some of my favourites are from , and I always love browsing the selection at .

Your "hay fever" symptoms might not be caused by pollen alone. 🌾

Histamine builds up from multiple triggers, including alcohol, fermented foods, heat and stress. When your bucket overflows, that's when symptoms can appear.

Swipe to learn how it works.

I’m often on here recommending my favourite products, so today I thought I’d switch things up and share a little insight into the things you *won’t* usually find in my shopping basket.

This isn’t about labelling foods as “good” or “bad”. It’s about knowing what you’re buying and understanding that some products that look healthy at first glance can contain far more sugar than you might expect.

A few things I tend to leave on the shelf:

🍇 Dried fruit, where the natural sugars become much more concentrated and it’s very easy to eat a large amount quickly.

🧃 Fruit juice, because much of the fibre from the whole fruit has been removed, making it very different to eating an orange or apple.

🥣 Products marketed as “healthy” that turn out to have sugar or syrups high up on the ingredients list.

My biggest tip? Turn the packet around. The marketing on the front can tell you one story, but the ingredients list and nutrition information often tell you much more.

What’s something you stopped buying once you started checking the label?

You might already think carefully about what goes into your food, but what about what you’re breathing in, touching and using around your home every day?

From cleaning sprays and laundry products to candles, air fresheners and personal care, we’re exposed to chemicals from multiple sources throughout the day.

Some chemicals found in everyday household products have been associated with:

• Hormone disruption
• Skin and respiratory irritation
• Poorer indoor air quality

I like to shop for more natural household products at , with some of my favourites being:

🧺 for laundry liquids and softeners

🧽 for gloves and sponges

🧻 for loo roll

🧴 for their multi-surface spray. I also love that they’re female-founded, made in Somerset and support Breast Cancer UK.

🍽️ for dishwasher tablets

You don’t need to overhaul your whole home overnight. Start by looking at the products you use most often and, as they run out, consider swapping them for simpler alternatives.

Small changes can add up when it comes to reducing unnecessary exposure in your home.

Save this for your next household shop and follow for more practical ways to support your health.

If you're on Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro, the weight you're losing isn't all fat.

A significant portion can be muscle, and losing it slows your metabolism and makes regain more likely. Protein at every meal and resistance training aren't optional alongside these medications. They're the non-negotiables - swipe to see why.

Save this and share it with someone on this journey.
