In specialist clinics, roughly half of all people with Tourette’s also meet criteria for OCD.

That’s not a coincidence. These two conditions share brain circuitry, and sometimes the symptoms become so entangled that it’s hard to tell whether a behaviour is a tic or a compulsion.
