How to overcome anxiety
Have you met Samantha, our Hypnotherapist?
She has been a Hypnotherapist for 19 years, and trained in EMDR in 2019, bringing deep therapeutic experience and a calm, grounded approach to her work. Samantha supports people facing complex emotional patterns, unresolved trauma, and long-standing cycles that feel difficult to break.
Here’s what she says about her clients…
"When clients come to see me, they often say things like, “You don’t understand, my anxiety is so bad I’m cancelling work and it’s ruining my relationships,” or “I can’t stop drinking; it’s the only thing that calms me down and quietens my mind.”
And my reply is always the same… I do understand, because I’ve been exactly where you are.
In 2017, after years of crippling anxiety, panic attacks, blackout drinking, and seizures that had me in and out of doctors’ offices, psychiatrists’ rooms, and eventually rehab, everything came to a head. What started as “fun” during my clubbing and DJ days ended when I hit my mid 30s and the disco was well and truly over.
In my darkest moments, having lost almost everything, I reconnected with my meditation practice. I then revisited my original hypnotherapy training from 2006 and had a huge realisation: all of my anxiety and addictive behaviours were coping mechanisms. As I began this work, my mind started to clear, and for the first time in a long time, I felt genuine hope.
Over the next few years, I continued to train, adding Clinical Hypnotherapy and EMDR to my skill set. I made it my mission to help others heal from anxiety, addiction, and PTSD, predominantly through hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming, while weaving in EMDR, which is incredibly powerful for trauma recovery.
I also work one day a week in recovery services, supporting young women in early sobriety as they heal and rebuild their lives.
If I can recover, so can you, and I have the tools to help you start."
