Great news! The new BWYQ L3 Award in Teaching Yoga for Generalised Anxiety Disorder is due to start on 8 November 2026 at Ilkley Yoga Centre, LS29 8DS with BWY DCT Susie Dennis as the tutor.
In anticipation of the launch, Susie's article 'Yoga for an Anxious Mind' was recently published in Yoga Magazine, just in time for Mental Health Awareness Week in May. Susie was one of the five research teachers hired for the 12-week BWYQ research study on Yoga for for Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in 2024. Thanks to a grant to BWYQ from the Community Fund, 63 participants with GAD were recruited to take part in the classes free of charge at five different Yorkshire sites. Pre and post-intervention questionnaires and interviews with the participants have informed the format of the BWYQ specification and the Mindbody Wellness Training course that will be tutored by Susie.
