Finally got my mouth around some Voodoo Rays.. pizza by the slice and i wish i'd had some sooner.

I had a slice with jalapenos and spicy beef and it was jammy.

We've visited Mahiki (Green Park) before and were impressed with its Hawaian vibes and summer inspired cocktails.

The Kensington destination features a delectable menu of raw, tempura, sushi and seafood which would be perfectly fitting for those who are advocating a healthier lifestyle after Christmas.

Great portion sizes and brilliant value for money we enjoyed-

Spicy Yellowfin Tuna Maki rolls • Devon Crab and Crispy Prawn California Maki rolls • Spicy Grilled Octopus • Crispy Pork Belly • Seared Salmon Sashimi with Truffle Ponzu (not pictured) • Sorbet with fruits

There was a great energy as a DJ soundtracked the evening with old skool funk and rnb classics, before dinner service finished and the party got started with a full house on the first Saturday of the year.

Re-visted Hawkers Bar and Brasserie for Saturday brunch.

They've refreshed their menu and it was as delicious as ever. Unlimited prosecco also went down a treat.

If in doubt... Pizza

Situated opposite Boxpark Shoreditch, sample a grown up Pizzas packed with taste and some curious adds.

We kept it simple with salami but why not try a prawn one or enjoy a bit of broccoli on top.

How was your foodie weekend?

We really enjoyed a mix of seafood, meats, truffle & fois grad fries with smoky shots, cocktails and Aperol Spritz...

Go for the flower wall and entrancing walk way but stay for the food, ambient atmosphere and funk soul music.
