Us women are just amazing. Dont you think? 🩷

We remember everyones birthdays, medication schedules, favourite meals, work deadlines, secrets and family dramas…

Every. Single. Day

Even forgetful women like me have a special memory compartment for my loved ones that’s non-negotiable. The downside? You put yourself last.

When I retrained as a therapist, I remember not having a single uninterrupted thought of my own for years . The kids were young and life was fast. And being needed was the norm and more important than having your own needs.

But I came to understand that looking after your own needs is not selfish. It did take some time to rewire that bit and accept that self-care wasn’t just a glass of wine with friends (although it is that too) but things like going for walks on my own, having an early night in, less diary dates and saying no without lengthy explanations.

If you’ve spent decades looking after everyone else, don’t be surprised if putting yourself first feels really uncomfortable.

But you’re just rusty from under practice. And like any skill, it comes back.

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you probably already know that helping midlife women rebuild self-worth once the kids have left is my thing!

I’ve done it myself and now I get to help other women too. It is certainly a gift that keeps on giving.

You’ve spent years being needed. Raising a family, building a life, keeping everything moving.

And then, just as your children start needing you less, your parents start needing you more.

And somewhere in the middle of all that…there’s you.

And perhaps for the first time in years, you have space to think about what you want. Except you’re not entirely sure what that is anymore.

That ‘what now?’ feeling can be unsettling. You can be grateful for your life, love your family enormously, and still feel a bit lost about where you fit into it all now.

This is so much of what I talk about here: finding yourself again in your 50s and 60s, rebuilding confidence and self-worth, navigating the empty nest and working out what you want from this next chapter.

So if that sounds familiar, I think you’re in the right place.

I even created a workbook and meditation that I use with my clients - but you can do it daily from your kitchen table. Comment MIDLIFE and I’ll share the link to it ❤️.

There’s a point in midlife, especially with n your 50s and 60s when you realise that so much has changed, but nobody really prepared you for what that might feel like.

Your children need you differently and you LOVE their independence whilst also slightly grieving their need for you.

Your parents may need you way more which may or may not be something you considered.

Relationships change too. Not everyone makes the cut into your next phase. And that can feel sad but necessary.

And somewhere amongst all of that, it’s very easy to lose sight of YOU.

I think this is why so many women reach their 50s and 60s with a life that looks fine from the outside, yet privately think, what now? What do I actually want?

I’ve been there too. Had all the feelings and thoughts. And I don’t think this stage of life is about desperately trying to reinvent yourself . It’s more about finding your way back into being enough as you are. Which may have been pushed aside while you were busy (and happily) looking after everyone else.

That’s exactly why I created Midlife Reset. It’s a practical, supportive way to start working out who you are now, what matters to you, how to feel enough despite fearing being redundant, and what you want from the years ahead.

Does this describe you?

Because it’s a moment a lot of us mums recognise - the kids are becoming adults, the busy years are over but instead of feeling free, we just feel blank and full of doubt. ‘What the heck am I supposed to do now?’

And it’s not surprising - we know how the brain works - what you don’t use you lose. And when you’ve been last on your own list for twenty odd years - it’s hard to put yourself on top. It takes mojo and some practice 🤎.

The Midlife Reset is my workbook and hypnotherapy audio set over six week that I created specifically for you to discover yourself in this new chapter.

To actually reconnect with your confidence, your sense of self, and how you now want to relate to the world (and people) around you. We’re talking inner child, boundaries, self-doubt and how to recover from people and situations trigger us.

The workbook walks you through the inner work and the hypnotherapy recording works on the part of you that overthinks EVERYTHING. Yes, I see you.

Comment RESET and I’ll send you the link. It’s never too late and you’re not too old ⭐️.

It can take quite some time to find your mojo after being everything to everyone for years.

- Who are you?
- What do you want know?
- Have you got what it takes?

Finding your feet again is a daily practice - and some days it’s easier to do than others. But the thoughts you keep thinking and behaviour you continue practicing will pay off.

My workbook guides you through this conundrum through reflective questioning, tools and @ @

No one really prepares you for this part of life because it seems so far away - until it isn’t.

One minute you’re driving your kids to activities, organising everyone’s lives and being needed every second of the day. The next, your role has shifted.

At the same time, your parents may need more support, more time, more of you - and that can be a lot.

You might end up standing in the middle of these changes asking, Who am I now, beyond what I do for everyone else?

If you’ve been feeling a little lost, restless or like you’ve somehow disappeared, you’re not alone. Most of us feel it in some way.

But midlife CAN also be an invitation to see yourself in a new light, and where you are today.

And perhaps, for the first time in a long time, you can also ask yourself ‘What do I want? What do I need?’

If this resonates, and you’re ready to reconnect with who you are beyond the roles you’ve carried for so long, comment MIDLIFE and I’ll send you the link to my workbook and meditation audio. 🤎
