This August marks one year since Pieter joined Fortius, and what an impact he has made in that time. From day one, Pieter has brought exceptional clinical expertise, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to advancing athlete health and performance. His contributions have already helped strengthen Fortius' position as a leader in sports medicine and performance care.

We are especially proud that, in April, Pieter was appointed Chief Medical Officer, a well-deserved recognition of his leadership, dedication, and influence across our organisation and the wider sports medicine community.

Fortius consultant Mr Rahul Patel recently attended Back in the Game, an international sports medicine meeting in Cape Town bringing together a truly global faculty of leading specialists from the US, UK, Germany, India, UAE and more as well as Fortius Consultants Andrew Richards and Pieter D'Hooghe

Rahul was invited to present cases on his experience treating elite athletes and serve as an expert panellist on managing knee injuries in elite sport, sharing knowledge and advancing best practice in sports injury care on an international stage.
