Yoga bridge vs. Pilates bridge! The difference between these two has been a revelation for my Yogalates teacher trainees - especially those with lower back pain.
✔️ Yoga Bridge: a backbend that can easily become focused mainly into the lower-back if your hip flexors are tight (many people’s are)
✔️Pilates Bridge: ski slope shape with a posterior pelvic tilt to fire up the glutes and hamstrings while keeping the lower back and hip flexors lengthened.
Both are valid, but if your goal is to build glute and hamstring strength, Pilates Bridge wins. It’s kinder to the lower back and easy to progress with weights, bands, and variations. 🔥
