The DHST has three core pillars to its work:
‣ Intervention, assessments & treatment pathways
‣ Ongoing monitoring and support
‣ Campaigning to educate and raise awareness
Hear from Eddie Crouch, Martin MacEachen, Rosie Pearce, Vania Hassan, Richard Jones and Joe Ingham about why our conference was timely and much needed.
They highlight that:
‣ British Dental Association research shows stress, anxiety and burnout is a growing problem amongst dentists.
‣ Dentists in need may not seek support due to pride or shame getting in the way, but the risks of not doing so could mean larger impacts on careers and livelihoods than if issues are dealt with.
‣ Building a supportive practice environment is essential for wellbeing.
‣ Don't be frightened to reach out for support - services such as ours exist to help. We're free, we're independent, we're expert and we're totally confidential.
