How can you correct a gummy smile?...🤔

There is a procedure you can have that will reduce your gummy smile, which involves removing a strip of skin on the inside your mouth and then connecting your lips to the inside of your mouth… however… this has limited longevity!⏰... overtime the muscle will eventually be stretched out again😞

What do I recommend?... Botox! 💉By injecting the side of your mouth, it weakens the muscle, stopping a gummy smile😁... It’s easier, safer and less painful🤩

Does a browlift change the shape of your eyes? 🤨...

Doing either a lateral brow lift or gliding browlift can take away some of the heaviness around the eyes and make your eyes look more rejuvenated 😍… so it can give the perception of a bit of change in the shape of the eyes 👀

However, having a brow lift that will change the shape of the corners of your eyes is not a good idea 🙅‍♂️😟 we ultimately don’t know how it will look when we age… plus using an aggressive browlift to create a foxy eye can be very damaging!! 😰

Patients can react differently to their new look and may even have to adjust to it…🤨

Sometimes it can take a while to adjust to your new look because the perception of yourself is so ingrained into your subconscious, but most of the time, you adjust very quickly🤩🥰⭐️

My advice if you are worried about looking different is…
1) Only do one area at a time. Start with what is bothering you the most first… don’t do everything all at once.

2) Take your time… don’t jump into any surgery… Take time to think⏳.. why do you need all these surgeries, for yourself or for the approval of others? 🤳🤷‍♂️

3) Talk to a surgeon who can advise you on which areas are most important and which areas you will benefit the most 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

4) Are there any non-surgical techniques to change the appearance… try these before going into surgery… some apps can help you visualise the results or use filler to explore the results and see how you feel about your new look 🤔

5) Never rush into surgery!...only go because you want to, NOT because someone told you to ⏳😌

Addressing marionette lines and lifting corners, it's not always what it seems! 🤔...

Lately, I've noticed a trend among middle-aged patients seeking corner lifts to tackle their lines💡 While it's understandable, sometimes it's like missing the elephant in the room! 🐘

Marionette lines may actually be a sign of cheek descent, especially as we age 📉 As cheeks droop, it creates fullness in the lower face, leading to those pesky lines 🧐

Here's the key... if cheeks are the culprit, a deep plane facelift might be the solution! ✨ By properly addressing cheek descent, we can eliminate the need for a corner lift altogether 🙌

So, next time you're considering treatment for lines, don't forget to assess those cheeks! 🌟 A proper evaluation could lead to the right solution for a natural, youthful look 💖

What’s better… Hairline Lowering Surgery or Hair Grafting?...🧐

Hair grafting is when you take individual hair grafts from the back and pluck them everywhere you need them at the front… the benefits are:
✅ you avoid any scar formation
✅ create any hairline shape that you want
❌ takes a lot of time, and recovery is way longer than HALO
❌ You lose the hair, so seeing the final outcome takes even more time
❌ Doesn’t create the same natural density as your own hair

HALO surgery is when you pull the hairline forward.. the benefits are the opposite of hair grafting:
✅ Shorter time and recovery
✅ Creates the same natural density as your own hair
✅ See the results immediately
❌ Risk of a visible scar
❌ Limited options for the shape of the hairline… challenging in patients with not a lot of laxity

In general, for many men, hair grafting is much more effective than HALO surgery… because if your hairline is continuously receding, hair grafting can counteract this👀😁… However, HALO or a hybrid of the two, is more effective for women 😍

Is it bad to have lip filler if you want lip surgery?... 👄

… no, it is not! Sometimes it can play to our advantage🤩 It all depends on how the filler is sitting in your lips… if there is a lot of migration or really big that they disrupt teeth show, then we would suggest dissolving the filler🤔

But if it’s been in the lips for more than six months and if it’s been placed perfectly and has not migrated… we maybe keep it 😍💄
