Should you have a lip lift when you're young or older? 🧐...

Well, how much do you really want it?🤩😩... Is it something you are bothered by, or is it because it's becoming a more popular procedure and you want to join in on the fad?😍... If it's the first option, then have one when you're young😊

The main thing we must consider between young and old patients is scar visibility 😳… When you're young, the scar is more likely to be more noticeable because more youthful skin is more immaculate... therefore, everything is more visible👀

A scar on someone who has aged a bit more and has more lines in the skin… is less visible.

But during the healing process, you can use make-up to cover the scars💄… and eventually, at the end of the healing time, the scars should be almost invisible, and that doesn't matter the age 🤩

Reviewing Florence’s Hairline Lowering Surgery Before & After😍…

Florence taught me something particular that I hadn’t heard before❤️ All of the women in Florence’s tribe have very low foreheads… so this being very special and important to Florence, we bought her forehead down even lower than I initially suggested with the rule of equal thirds.

I am so grateful for Florence’s trust and the great energy that she bought with her. Keep smiling Florence😁🤍

How many MM of lip height does the perfect lips have?... 📐🤨

Firstly there is no such thing as the perfect lip mm amount… that would be too easy, and we could create one standard type of beauty again and again… 😶

It’s all dependent on the patient and their facial balance⚖️ The aim of lip surgeries is to create facial balance and harmony that allows all features of your face to be in proportion and radiate😍✨ It takes an experienced surgeon to tell you how much elevation you need to gain that… boom, balance moment!! 🤩😧❤️

Will skin-tightening ruin future facelift results? 😅

Radiofrequency, ultrasound, lasers… they won’t “ruin” your face or stop you from having a facelift later.

But... and this is the key... it depends how much was done.

Too much heat, too often, too aggressively… and yeah, the tissue can get a bit tricky to work with.

So if a facelift might be in your future, just flag it with your surgeon. We can work around it... we just like to know what we’re dealing with 😉

No shame in non-surgical tweaks... just keep the big picture in mind ✨

Is there an ideal age for a facelift? 🤔

The short answer is… no.

The right time has far less to do with your age and far more to do with your goals... and most of those goals begin with how you feel.

Facial plastic surgery is deeply personal. At its heart, it’s about restoring harmony between your appearance and your sense of self 💭

If you’re considering something like a deep-plane facelift, the most important step is speaking with a surgeon you trust. A good surgeon will guide you honestly... whether surgery is the right choice now, or whether a non-surgical approach suits your goals better.

It’s all about choosing the path that aligns with you.

Why Do Some Facelifts Fail to Last? 💡 ...

Short-lived results often come from superficial facelifts...they pull on the surface without addressing the deeper structures. It’s like smoothing a duvet without fixing the mattress underneath 🛏️

A deep plane facelift fixes this by working at the natural gliding plane beneath the surface, where aging happens. For revision facelifts, especially after a non-deep plane technique, it’s like starting fresh... no need to worry ✨

Let's talk about asymmetries...

We all have them, and guess what? They're totally normal! But here's the catch - as we age, those little imbalances can become more noticeable 😬

Now, don't panic! It's all part of the natural process. Our faces change over time, and that's okay. Sure, we can address some of these asymmetries with rejuvenating surgeries, but here's the truth... aiming for perfection might not be the best goal.

Why? Because even if we achieve a perfectly symmetrical look, guess what happens next? Yup, things change! Our faces are constantly in motion, and that's what makes us unique 🔄

What is a liquid corner lift?...

Liquid corner lift uses dermal fillers to lift the corner of the lips when they get droopy 🙁 But does this work?... I don’t personally believe there is a significant impact 🤔😬because…

You have to consider why you have droopy corners on the lips. It can be from the heaviness of the cheeks, which drop down and create a shadow… which can, in extreme cases, create a crease called the Marionette Line. Filling the Marionette line with filler won’t push the cheeks up.

Another reason you have droopy corners is due to muscle activity… the DAO muscle that pulls the corners down (depressor anguli oris)… fillers won’t be able to impact the movement effectively.

One reliable way to lift the corners of your lips is a Corner Lift surgery 🤩😍✨

The three factors that make a good and inconspicuous scar?...🤔

1) Surgeon… you need good hand-to-eye co-ordination and attention to detail ✋🏼👀 only touching what needs to change and not causing harm to the tissue around it😟… like I always say, healing scars begin at surgery

2) Tissue… When the surgery is well executed and doesn’t create too much tension... it helps with the healing of the scar because increased tension = visible scars 😨

3) Patient, aka you… ALWAYS follow the instructions that your surgeon gives you to really get the best result 😍 and if you’re not sure, always ASK your surgeon… trust me, they know best🤗✨

Want more tooth show... well a lip lift might not be the way forward 👄😯...

I define tooth show as passive (when your face is relaxed and your mouth slightly open) and active tooth show (when you speak and smile) 🗣️😄

Before any procedure, I like to analyse both during a friendly zoom call to break the ice and get to know each other so you feel comfortable when you come to the office 😌🥰

In the relaxed state, I observe the soft tissue envelope, like a curtain covering your teeth ✉️ 👄 This helps me understand if your lips are elongated or too big, or maybe a combination of both 🤔💭 When everything’s in motion, I assess muscle strength and how the soft tissue and teeth interact 🧐

While a lip lift can increase tooth show... it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution😊... sorry to make it a little more complicated 😉😁
