Fungal toenail infection treated by removing nail under local anaesthetic and applying Lamisil spray to the nail bed as the nail grows back. Second photo is the result.

Recent patient consulted us with obvious fungal toenail infection that had not responded to the usual OTC fungal nail treatments. Toenail was removed under local anaesthetic and Terbinifine (Lamisil) applied as nail grows back.

Great result for a patient’s fungal toenail.
Nail removed, under local anaesthetic, and allowed to heal.
Patient then used Lamisil spray daily on the nail bed as new nail regrowing.
