Finally posting the professional photos of my talk at the London Orthopaedic conference on Tibialis Posterior tendon dysfunction and the adult acquired flat foot deformity or as is now called Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity.
Third year being invited back to talk and it has grown year on year, and proud to be asked to contribute, and hopefully demonstrating what Podiatry can contribute to the care of complex foot and ankle injury as part of a multidisciplinary team.

If you have Foot & Ankle pain, see a specialist.

Not all custom orthoses are created equal.

One of the biggest advantages of my clinic is that your custom orthoses are designed and manufactured in-house using 3D printing technology.

What does that mean for you?

✔️ Your prescription is created by the clinician who assessed you—not sent away to a third party for interpretation.
✔️ Adjustments to the design can be made quickly and precisely.
✔️ Faster turnaround times, so you can start treatment sooner.
✔️ Consistent, repeatable manufacturing with a high level of accuracy.
✔️ Easy to modify or reproduce if your needs change over time.

Most importantly, the orthosis is only one part of the process. It starts with a detailed assessment of why your pain has developed, followed by a device that’s prescribed specifically for your foot, your biomechanics and your goals—not simply a generic arch support.

Technology is a fantastic tool, but it’s the assessment, diagnosis and prescription behind it that make the real difference.

If you have Foot & Ankle pain, see a specialist.

Think ingrown toenail surgery is painful? Think again.

One of the biggest concerns I hear is, “Will it hurt?”

The reality is that modern ingrown toenail surgery is a straightforward procedure performed under local anaesthetic, meaning the toe is numb throughout the treatment.

If you’ve been struggling with repeated infections, ongoing pain, or a toenail that keeps growing back into the skin, surgery can provide a permanent solution and get you back to living without discomfort.

Don’t let an ingrown toenail put up with pain any longer—effective treatment is available.

If you have Foot & Ankle pain, see a specialist.

Training for a marathon and picked up a ni**le? Don’t ignore it.

One of the biggest mistakes I see is runners hoping the pain will “just settle” while continuing to train.

The earlier you get an accurate diagnosis, the more treatment options you have—and the better the chance of still making it to the start line.

Many running injuries can be managed without stopping completely. By identifying the exact problem early, we can often modify your training, optimise your rehabilitation, and keep you progressing safely towards race day.

Waiting until you’re forced to stop running often means a longer recovery and a much greater risk of missing your event.

If you’re training for a marathon and something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait until it’s too late. Early assessment could make all the difference.

🏃‍♂️ Train smart. Get diagnosed early. Give yourself the best chance of making race day.

If you have Foot & Ankle pain, see a specialist.

My own injuries are a big part of why I became a sports specialist.

Like many of my patients, I’ve experienced the frustration of injuries getting in the way of training and competition.

As a bodybuilder, I’ve dealt with my own setbacks and know how difficult it is when you’re forced to adapt your training, miss sessions, or question whether you’ll get back to where you were.

Those experiences shaped the way I practise today.

I understand that most active people don’t just want the pain to go away—they want to get back to doing what they love, whether that’s running a marathon, playing football, lifting weights or simply keeping active.

That’s why my focus is always on finding an accurate diagnosis, understanding why the injury has happened, and creating a treatment and rehabilitation plan that gets you back to your goals as safely and efficiently as possible.

Every injury teaches you something. Mine helped shape the clinician I’ve become.

If you have Foot & Ankle pain, see a specialist.

Rehabilitation isn’t “3 sets of 10.”

One of the biggest misconceptions in injury rehabilitation is that everyone should do the same exercises, for the same number of repetitions, for the same amount of time.

In reality, effective rehab is built around progressive overload.

Just like getting stronger in the gym, injured tissues need the right amount of stress to adapt. Too little, and they don’t improve. Too much, and symptoms flare up.

The key is gradually increasing the challenge over time. That might mean:
✔️ Increasing load
✔️ Increasing repetitions
✔️ Increasing range of movement
✔️ Increasing speed
✔️ Improving control and balance
✔️ Progressing to more sport-specific movements

The plan should be individual, based on your injury, goals, symptoms and how your body responds—not a generic sheet of exercises handed out to everyone.

Whether you’re dealing with plantar fasciopathy, Achilles tendinopathy, runner’s knee or another musculoskeletal injury, rehabilitation should evolve as you improve.

The goal isn’t simply to reduce pain—it’s to build the strength, capacity and resilience needed to keep you active and reduce the risk of the problem returning.

Rehabilitation is a process, not a prescription.

If you have Foot & Ankle pain, see a specialist.

If you’re tired of foot or ankle pain constantly holding you back, and you’re sick of waiting weeks or even months just to find out what’s actually wrong, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Imagine finally getting answers there and then, instead of being sent from a GP referral, to a scan, back to the GP, and then back to a consultant.

Imagine knowing exactly what’s causing the problem before it gets worse, so you can actually start treating it properly instead of just learning to live with it.

That’s what happens when you work with a specialist who can diagnose and assess most issues chair side.

✅ Get clarity on what’s actually causing your foot or ankle pain
✅ Understand the right treatment plan before the issue progresses further
✅ Get seen quickly, with around 70% of patients diagnosed on the spot

No more endless waiting.

No more being passed from one person to the next.

Just clear answers, expert diagnosis, and a faster route back to moving pain free.

DM “SCAN” and I’ll send you what a first appointment could look like 📩
