This is , Alyss and me at the All Love Festival earlier this month.

One of the things we love most about kirtan is that it isn’t about singing perfectly. It’s about connection, community, and allowing your voice to be heard without judgement.

At our last Heart-Led Kirtan there was laughter, poetry, connection, a few tears, and a vase of peonies that had completely closed for the evening and slowly opened again during the chanting.

On Tuesday 23 June we’ll be gathering again in East Sheen for an evening of kirtan, poetry, and shared voice, raising funds for .womens.centre

No experience needed. No singing ability required.

The peonies had already closed for the evening.

They sat in the centre of the room, surrounded by people singing. As the chants unfolded, something beautiful happened. One by one, the peonies slowly began to open again.

Perhaps coincidence. Perhaps not.

At our last Heart-Led Kirtan, poetry and chant were woven together in a small, intimate gathering. Voices rose and fell, laughter was shared, tears were shed, tea was poured, and for a little while the busy world outside seemed to soften.

There is something powerful about singing together. Not because we sing perfectly, but because we sing at all.

Kirtan is a simple practice of call-and-response chanting. You don’t need a beautiful voice, any experience, or even the confidence to sing. You can join in, listen quietly, or simply rest within the sound. Yet time and again, it creates a sense of calm, connection, and belonging.

On Tuesday 23 June, and I will be holding another evening of kirtan, poetry, and shared voice in East Sheen, once again supporting .womens.centre.

We’ll spend around an hour in chant and shared voice, followed by tea, prasad, and time to connect.

We’ll also be inviting a few people to share a short poem, quote, or piece of writing that resonates with the theme of supporting women. If something tugs at your heart, we’d love you to bring it along.

A day I won’t forget in a long time, at 10 hours of Kirtan, 40 leaders and £10,000 raised for So many people joined to make this possible but huge thanks to @ for spearheading this.

I opened up the event with my channelled Ganesha chant which has supported me through difficult times 🐘 🤍 which was such a privilege, thank you to for your musical support 🙏🏻 and everyone for joining in the Bhakti vibes.

For me the day unfolded with so many emotions from joy, tears, sadness, loss, bliss, a complete rainbow 🌈 evoked through the many voices and chants 🤍💜🤍💜

You know Kirtan for me isn’t about performance, it’s about embodiment of the Bhakti vibe which is a truly beautiful experience.

We shall be holding our intimate Kirtan back in East Sheen, SW14 on June 23rd would love to see you there.

✨ A Rare Opportunity in East Sheen ✨

I am delighted to be opening my healing space in East Sheen to host Surbiton Shamanic Circle and their guest teacher, Tonawaka Kwauhtlinxan (), for a special evening exploring the ancient Mexhika tradition of the Obsidian Mirror.

Tonawaka is a traditional Mexhika Priest, healer, and guardian of an ancestral lineage that has preserved sacred knowledge for generations. During this experiential workshop, he will share the traditional understanding and ceremonial use of the obsidian mirror, a powerful tool for self-reflection, shadow work, energetic protection, and connection with the unseen world.

Through teachings, guided practices, and ceremony, participants will be introduced to how this sacred volcanic stone has been used within the Mexhika tradition to strengthen awareness, connect with the elements, restore energetic balance, and deepen understanding of oneself.

I love creating opportunities for our community to experience authentic teachings from visiting practitioners and wisdom keepers from around the world, and I feel honoured to be welcoming Tonawaka to East Sheen for this special event.

Guided by the steady beat of the drum, we journey into an imaginal landscape where healing, insight, symbolism, and guidance can emerge in unexpected ways. Some people receive clarity around a situation in their life. Others meet helping energies, receive messages, or discover healing gifts and resources they were previously unaware of. No two journeys are ever the same.
