I’m excited to share my next Unplugged Alchemy Sound Bath, held around the turning point of the Autumn Equinox.

I’ve decided to do things a little differently with these gatherings. Rather than holding a sound bath simply because another month has rolled around, I’m going to offer them at particular points through the year, allowing the season to gently shape each experience.

So we begin with the Autumn Equinox, that moment of balance between light and dark, before we begin our journey into the darker months.

We’ll gather in my healing space in SW14 for an intimate evening of completely live, unplugged sound. There’ll be a simple Equinox intention, individual smudging, and then plenty of time to lie down, soften and simply receive as I work with the alchemy bowls and other instruments around you.

No lengthy check-ins, no need to share anything you don’t want to, just space to rest and experience the sound.

And after this? Samhain will be our next seasonal gathering, which I’m already rather excited about.

I would love feedback on your thoughts on:

Check-ins and how do you feel at the beginning of circles? Hate them? Love them? Do they make you feel heard and connected or stressed?

Sharing at the end? Do you love sharing and find it helpful? Or are you just wanting to get out of there?

How much time for the practitioner to talk is good for you before sound healing begins or none at all, you just want to come in & get on with it, no interactions? Or something inbetween, what does that look like?

I keep check-ins minimal and most of my groups love to share over a cup of tea after but I’d love to hear more thoughts as I curate a beautiful Autumn Equinox event at the end of September combining Yoga Nidra and unplugged live sound 🤍

So excited to share that I have officially qualified as an Integrative Counsellor. It’s been years of study, dedication, deep dives in to the ‘self’ , projects, homework, volunteering, therapy etc.

I’ve met some amazing people on my course including my teacher and my own personal therapist all of whom have become and important part of my life story.

I’m excited to see how this weaves in with my existing work as a healer, though a different practice they all have strands that overlap.

I’ve found that bereavement and neurodiversity seem to have found me as a particular point of interest, not exclusive but when I open myself up to receive so far there has been a lot of that.

I have decided to continue to Level 5 but feel a sense of relief that this stage is now complete.

I shall be updating my website with this offering once I have everything in place.

How much of what we see in a relationship is actually what is happening, and how much is being viewed through the lens of our own hopes, expectations and past experiences?

I often think of it as the different pairs of glasses we bring with us.

Our desires-and-wishes glasses. Our romantic, perhaps slightly rose-tinted glasses. Our past-experience glasses.

None of them is necessarily wrong. The difficulty comes when we forget we're wearing them.

Sometimes taking a moment to put on our ‘clear glasses’ can help us separate what is actually happening from the story we may already be creating around it, giving us space for curiosity, communication and honesty with kindness.

11 days in Glastonbury with me, myself and I.

I considered it a real gift to have this time to decompress & thank you to clients and friends who respected that. It isn’t often for me I get that time to spend with just me! Though I had a couple of friends n family over most of the time I was solo.

What did I notice during that time. I like my own company, which I always knew, not in an egotistical way but I’m generally happy on my own, I’m not a sit down and feel lonely kind of person. I noticed I was still pretty active, but there was a difference, I was participating in activities that bring me joy, fuel my creativity not obligations, my day lacked a timetable to the most extent and that was really lovely as my ‘usual’ day to day existence is a fine tuned timetable.

What will I take away from all of this? Spacing out and making time for me on my own as this current season of my life is busy with others and that includes me sharing a lot of myself in caring for others and I mustn’t forget to fill my pot.

Some of the adventures I had were:

Salty float tanks, ecstatic dance, exposing washing machines and showers creating house pools, spontaneous mushroom foraging, harvesting and making concoctions for later this year, discovering different walks, medeival dancing, Kirtan, eclipse picnics, pub gardens, friends and food, sharing stories, fostering a dog for a few days who stole a little bit of my heart, creating my apothecary, lie ins, receiving healing.

As I look back I think gosh so much, but all was in flow, spontaneous and seamless.

A little share from my time in holiday in Glastonbury xx

There felt like so many synchronicities last night in our Heart-Led Kirtan in which we had created a theme with Mother Earth and our relationship with her, the lessons she teaches us and our guardianship on our own sacred lands and Earth 🌏 as a whole.

There were beautiful sharings of quotes and stories weaved between the chants which for me deepened my reflection on this precious relationship with Earth.

It seemed fitting to share my own lands abundance with my most recent crop of figs, the first year of these blessings but at the same time an awareness of the changing climate making this possible.

An unexpected space has become available in my diary tomorrow afternoon for a 90-minute 1:1 healing session.

As I sat with whether to simply leave the space empty, I felt drawn to share it.
