We are thrilled to launch a new special issue on 🌟 twin pregnancies 🌟

🚨Accounting for about 3% of births, twin gestations present a disproportionately high rate of both maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity.

🩺Despite published guidelines on twin pregnancies over the past few years from several professional societies, clinical practice still varies considerably between centers and countries, and key areas are still underreported.

🌍This special issue will address key controversies, challenges, and recent advances across the full spectrum of twin pregnancy care, from preconception to long-term maternal and child health. The issue aligns with IJGO’s and FIGO’s mission by highlighting global applicability and implementation across diverse and regional healthcare settings.

📑Original research, systematic/narrative reviews and case reports are welcome!

🚨We are delighted to announce a new special issue we are launching on non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT)!

🔎As NIPT expands into new clinical territory, new challenges arise. Meanwhile, access to NIPT is highly unequal across regions, healthcare systems, and populations, raising important questions for FIGO member societies worldwide.

📑We welcome original research, reviews, editorials & case reports. Underrepresented groups and LMIC perspectives are highly encouraged.

Heavy menstrual bleeding affects up to 50% of menstruating girls and women – yet 50–80% never seek medical care, turning instead to the Internet for answers.

A new systematic assessment by the FIGO Committee on Menstrual Disorders and Related Health Impacts, found that online patient education materials on HMB often suffer from poor readability, a lack of visual aids and critical content gaps or inaccuracies.

These gaps risk delaying care and spreading misinformation. The committee calls for better knowledge translation – accurate, accessible, patient-friendly content on HMB.
