Rivka trained at The Royal College of Music, the Juilliard School in New York (harp) and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (Music Therapy), qualifying as a Music
Therapist in 2004. As a Music Psychotherapist, Rivka sees adults and adolescents in her private practice in London and online. She is a registered mental health practioner with the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine, working with professional performing artists and students who are struggling with performance anxiety, depression and anxiety. She has over 20 years' experience working with children, adolescents and adults, including people on the autistic spectrum, focusing mainly on mental health and social communication difficulties, and with women who have experienced domestic abuse and trauma. In addition to group and individual clinical Music Therapy, Rivka enjoys clinical supervision of Arts Therapists. She also runs groups and workshops for corporate well-being programmes. As a harpist, Rivka performs classical music both solo and in chamber ensembles, as well as jazz, rock and hip hop with various bands. She occasionally works as a studio-recording artist for film and television soundtracks, and particularly enjoys working with composers developing new works.
