My 2027 yoga retreats are beginning to take shape, and I would love you to come with me.

A few days or a whole week away to practise yoga, eat beautifully, rest deeply and have time simply to be. There is always space for a swim, a walk, a good book, a conversation, or an afternoon with nowhere to rush to.

Each retreat is held in a place I have chosen with great care, from the warm south of Italy to the peaceful English countryside. You will be welcomed into a kind, friendly group, whatever your experience of yoga.

2026 is wrapping up with stunning Isle of Wight long weekend October 30 - November 2

In 2027, join me in:

Sicily · 24 April to 1 May
Puglia · 24 to 31 July ONE ROOM LEFT

Norfolk and Morocco waitlists are also open for future retreats, and Puglia 2028 I have already some takers!

A yoga retreat is a little pocket of time away from the usual.

A chance to move, breathe, rest deeply and be looked after — with beautiful surroundings, nourishing food, good conversation and no need to rush anywhere.

I love creating these experiences: spaces to come back to your body, your own rhythm and perhaps a little more of yourself.

My next retreat is on the Isle of Wight, 30 October–2 November — a long weekend of yoga, restorative practice, delicious food, countryside walks and deep rest.

Details and booking via the link in my bio.

Yoga doesn’t need to be your only form of movement—but please don’t dismiss it because it isn’t “athletic enough.”

The postures are only one small part of a much deeper practice: one that helps us breathe, steady the mind and remember who we are beneath all the noise.

After more than 30 years, this is why I still return to yoga. 🤍

What keeps bringing you back to your practice?

SHINS IN, THIGHS OUT ✨

One of the alignment cues you’ll hear me use again and again in class is “shins in, thighs out.”

It sounds simple, but there’s quite a lot happening beneath those few words.

Shins in: gently draw the outer shins towards the midline, creating stability and connection through the lower legs.

Thighs out: keeping that engagement, allow the upper inner thighs to broaden and spiral slightly back and apart, creating more space through the hips and pelvis.

The beauty is in the balance: hug in to expand out.

This action can help support healthy knee tracking, create more stability through the legs and pelvis, and give us that lovely feeling of being both grounded and spacious in a pose.

Try it in Tadasana, Chair, Warrior poses or Downward Facing Dog and notice what changes.

Do you feel more grounded?
More supported?
A little more spacious around the hips?

Don’t worry about making it perfect. Get curious about what you feel.

Shins in. Thighs out. Root down. Create space. ✨

And do you know what? These days I’m teaching exactly what I want to teach. Not yoga because it’s fashionable, not because it’s how someone else says it should be taught, and not to fit neatly into one style or lineage.

I’m teaching from over 25 years of practice, study, curiosity, mistakes, and lived experience. I teach in my own voice, blending what has genuinely helped me and what I know serves my students.

That’s the real freedom: authenticity.

So if you’ve been worrying about fitting into someone else’s idea of what a yoga teacher should be, let this be your reminder. You don’t need to be another version of someone else. You need to be fully yourself.

Your experience, your humanity, and your voice are what people connect with.

Authenticity will always be your greatest strength.

I had an interesting conversation this morning.

We were talking about how, in some spaces, yoga can be experienced mainly as a physical asana practice.

And I found myself smiling… because that’s never quite been my experience of yoga.

Yes, we move.
Yes, we build strength, mobility, resilience.
The body matters. It’s our doorway in.

But what I teach is not just shapes.

There is always a thread.
A theme.
Something quietly weaving through the practice that speaks to life beyond the mat.

Sometimes it’s about how we hold ourselves in challenge.
Sometimes it’s about softness, or truth, or devotion.
Sometimes it’s simply remembering that life is happening for us, not to us.

The asana becomes a language for that conversation.

That’s also why I call my classes intermediate.

Not because you need to be able to do the “advanced” poses.
But because there is an invitation to go a little deeper.

To feel.
To listen.
To refine.
To stay when things get uncomfortable, and to soften when the tendency is to push.

It’s less about what the pose looks like,
and more about how you meet yourself inside it.

For me, yoga has always been life-affirming.
A space to come back to what is true, steady, and meaningful.

So yes… we move the body.
But we’re also practicing how to live.
