For someone living with arthritis, everyday things can take more effort than others realise.

Today, Monday 12 October, is World Arthritis Day and the start of Bone and Joint Week. The London School of Osteopathy is pleased to support the campaign again in 2026.

We’re joining organisations across the UK and internationally to raise awareness of bone and joint health and the impact these conditions can have on people’s lives.

This week is an opportunity to listen to those experiences and help more people understand why musculoskeletal health matters.

The LSO teaching clinic has an important role beyond student training.

Based in Bethnal Green, the clinic gives people across East London access to affordable osteopathic care, while giving LSO students the opportunity to develop their skills with real patients under the supervision of qualified osteopaths.

Every appointment creates a valuable exchange: patients receive time, care and support, while students gain the practical experience that helps prepare them for their future careers.

How do you say thank you to the school that helped shape your future?

For LSO graduate Manuel Dell’Oglio, words weren't quite enough.
So he came back and performed.

Manuel was the sole performer at our special evening of music and recognition, giving a classical performance as his personal way of saying thank you to LSO.

It's a story we're particularly proud to see featured in the Autumn edition of Osteopathy Today, alongside a photograph of Manuel with our Principal, Fiona Hamilton.

And there was something else rather special to celebrate.

That same evening, Fiona was recognised for an incredible 35 years of service to the London School of Osteopathy, alongside other members of our team celebrating significant long-service milestones.

One graduate returning to say thank you.

One Principal marking 35 years.

Different journeys, but both part of the story of LSO.

Because the best measure of a school isn't only what happens while you're studying there. It's the connection that remains long after you leave.

What does hands-on osteopathy training actually look like? 👋

The LSO teaching clinic gives students the opportunity to take what they learn in lectures and apply it in a real clinical environment.

From taking patient case histories and developing assessment skills to discussing findings with experienced supervisors and delivering hands-on care, clinical training helps students build their confidence throughout their degree.
