The ZO Stimulator Peel is a superficial, medical-grade chemical peel developed by Dr. Zein Obagi for ZO Skin Health.  It is designed to exfoliate the epidermis and accelerate cellular turnover without the downtime associated with medium or deep chemical peels.

 Indications: The ZO Stimulator Peel is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin, and is highly effective for addressing:  

Dull, tired, or congested skin

Fine lines and early signs of aging

Uneven skin tone, mild hyperpigmentation, and age spots

Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture

Mild acne and post-acne marks (erythema or hyperpigmentation)

Sensation: Patients typically experience mild warmth, heat, or a tingling/prickling sensation during the 2-4 minutes the peel is active on the skin. It is generally very well tolerated without the need for topical anaesthetics. 

Downtime: There is virtually no downtime. While a minority of patients may experience mild redness or slight dryness/flaking for 3–5 days, most return to normal activities immediately.  

Recommended Frequency: For optimal, longer-lasting results, a primary series of 3 to 6 peels spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart is often recommended, followed by a maintenance treatment every 4 to 6 weeks.
