According to Israel's Ministry of Health report on wait times for elective surgeries, Laniado Hospital is proud to be the hospital with the shortest wait time in Israel for cataract surgery—just 22 days. ⏱️

This achievement once again demonstrates that it is possible to combine high patient volume, exceptional quality, and outstanding efficiency.

How do we do it?

For the first time, we are proud to share the artist's impression of the new Sheltered Emergency Department at Laniado Hospital.

Nearly 50 years ago, the Klausenberger Rebbe, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam zt"l, a Holocaust survivor, founded Laniado Hospital with a remarkable vision: that every person should receive the finest medical care with dignity, compassion and hope, regardless of background or ability to pay.

Today, that vision continues.

As Israel faces ongoing security challenges, this new fortified Emergency Department will ensure that doctors and nurses can continue to provide life-saving treatment, even when sirens sound. It will include a dedicated Sheltered Trauma Wing, giving patients the protection they need while receiving urgent medical care.

This is more than a new building. It is the next chapter in the Rebbe's extraordinary legacy of healing.

On Tisha B'Av, we remember the destruction of the Beit Hamikdash and the many tragedies that have shaped Jewish history, while holding onto the hope of redemption.

During the Holocaust, the Klausenberger Rebbe, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam zt"l, endured unimaginable suffering yet never lost his faith. He vowed that if he survived, he would build a place where every person would be treated with dignity, compassion and equality.

Fifty years ago, that promise became reality with the opening of Laniado Hospital. Today, as hospitals in Israel face the threat of missile attacks, Laniado is building a new Sheltered Emergency Centre so life-saving care can continue, even when the sirens sound.

This Tisha B'Av, we remember those who rebuilt from destruction and continue their legacy of healing.

May this be the last Tisha B'Av before mourning is transformed into peace, healing and lasting joy.

Nurse Hadas refuses to leave her patients behind. When the sirens sound during times of war the patients that are able to walk will go into a cramped Emergency area a long way down the corridor. All the patients that are unable to move will remain in danger and the nurses choose to stay to protect them, please help us support the new emergency centre which will be fully sheltered to keep everyone safe. That is why Laniado is building a new Sheltered Emergency Centre. The funds raised through this campaign will help create the new Trauma Wing at its heart, ensuring, life saving treatment can continue even under the threat of missile attack.
