I’m a London-based, award-winning nutritionist and mindset coach with over a decade of clinical experience, following a previous career in addiction counselling. My journey into nutrition began with personal struggles, including skin concerns and a long history of weight challenges dating back to childhood. With over a decade of experience, I’ve learnt that true health extends beyond what we eat—i

t’s about how we nurture every part of ourselves. I support people through a joined-up approach that brings together nutrition, mindset, and healing.

Some people probably think I’m overshare here.

The truth is, I used to do the opposite. I kept everything in, said I was fine, and carried far more than anyone around me realised. And that almost led to me not being here.

Talking about what’s really going on isn’t always comfortable, and some things still feel difficult to say out loud. But vulnerability is a skill. The more you practise it, the less frightening it becomes.🫶🏻

I’m not usually afraid of being vulnerable, but burnout is something I’ve struggled to talk about.

Maybe because I can’t control it.

Writing The Q***r Guide to Nutrition & Lifestyle was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most demanding. Nutrition books are unforgiving. Every claim needs checking, every reference needs finding, and every chapter seems to need updating every five minutes.

At the same time, I lost a major contract and found myself having to rethink a large part of my business. That part really sucked.

The strange thing is that I don’t think I look burnt out. I still work. I still go to the gym. I still get things done.

What I notice instead is wanting to retreat into my shell more. Spending more time alone. Feeling guilty when I rest because there’s always something else I should be doing.

I’ve been a nutritionist for a long time. Nutrition and supplements can help, but if your house is on fire (metaphorically), they’re only going to get you so far.

This summer I’m slowing down. I’m still working, but I’m giving myself permission to do less and stop treating every day like a race against the clock.

The irony is that I talk and write about the nervous system all the time, but I never preach from perfection.

If this year has reminded me of anything, it’s that calming your nervous system isn’t something you master once and tick off a list. It’s a practice.

Today I finally get to share the cover of my next book:

The Q***r Guide to Nutrition and Lifestyle.

Some of you may remember the original version of this book, Naked Nutrition, which was published a few years ago. Since then, I’ve been given the opportunity to write a second edition, and a lot has changed.

I’ve spent the last few years writing about body image, trauma, recovery, identity, nervous system health, and the ways our relationship with food is often about much more than food.

What started as a nutrition book has become something much broader.

Drawing on nutrition science, psychological insight and lived experience, this book offers practical, evidence-informed guidance on building strong foundations for health, navigating weight loss, muscle gain, mental health, sexual wellbeing, gender-affirming care, HIV, fertility and the party lifestyle.

It looks at many of the wider challenges our communities face, from minority stress and shame to healthcare barriers, identity, belonging and the constant pressure to become a better, healthier, more optimised version of ourselves.

It’s the book I wish I’d had when I was younger, and one shaped not only by my professional experience, but by my own journey too.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project along the way, especially my agent and the team Jessica Kingsley Publishers for giving this book a new life.

Publishing September 2026.
