So I chose to take two weeks of my holidays for myself.
I went to Odeceixe and immersed myself in Ashtanga with Petri Räisänen at Yoga Roots Odeceixe — Mysore practice, pranayama, adjustments and energy healing.
I camped, lived close to nature, spent time with my cats Samgha and Shakti, danced, listened to music, laughed, practised and, most importantly, gave myself the space to listen.
And I kept thinking about how easily we can forget to do this.
We wait until we’re exhausted.
Until we feel lost.
Until there is heaviness in the whole being
Until our body or mind asks us to stop.
But what if we didn’t always have to wait that long?
What if taking care of ourselves meant noticing earlier when we need to step away, slow down, reconnect and listen?
This is also what I hope to offer through my teaching.
Not only a practice that tells you what you should be doing — but a space where you can become quiet enough to discover what you actually need.
So I’m curious…
What do you do when you feel disconnected from yourself?
Do you go into nature?
Return to your practice?
Travel?
Rest?
Spend time with people or animals you love?
Or something completely different?
I’d genuinely love to hear and feel inspired from all of you 🌿🤍
