This year has been one of the most challenging and confronting periods for the TouchTuina team and our wider community.
In early 2025, Errol Lynch suffered a haemorrhagic stroke — a sudden, life-altering event that shocked his family, friends, practitioners, and patients alike. Nothing prepares you for how quickly life can change.
This first part to the documentary was created to honestly document Errol’s rehabilitation and recovery journey — not to sensationalise illness, but to share what healing can look like after such a profound shock to the body and nervous system.
Rehabilitation after a stroke is complex, demanding, and deeply personal. Errol’s progress reflects not only his resilience and determination, but also the role that Tuina and other complementary, holistic therapies can play alongside conventional care. These approaches aim to support circulation, nervous system regulation, mobility, awareness, and overall quality of life during recovery.
We share this story in the hope that it offers understanding, education, and encouragement — for patients, families, and practitioners navigating similar paths. Recovery is rarely linear, but progress is possible, and support matters.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with Errol and with TouchTuina through this year. This documentary is a testament to perseverance, collaboration, and the body’s capacity to heal when given time, care, and the right support.
