I’ve been invited to take part in a live panel discussion this June, and I’m really looking forward to it.

The panel is called “The Sustainable & Evolving Therapist: Longevity, Visibility, Identity & the Future of Private Practice” — and it’s part of the Prosper in Private Practice Virtual Summit.

After being a therapist for almost 16 years, one of the things I’m most passionate about is the conversation around what it really takes to sustain a long-term career as a therapist.

We often talk about building a private practice — getting clients, developing our skills, increasing visibility — but less often about how we evolve alongside our work, protect our wellbeing, and create practices that allow us to thrive rather than simply keep going.

I’m looking forward to exploring questions around identity, sustainability, visibility, and how the profession continues to change.

The panel is on Friday 26th June at 12pm UK, and it’s free to attend.

To attend, you’ll need to register for the summit (also free) — which gets you access to three days of pre-recorded talks from 25+ speakers as well.

I’d love to see you there.

Pricing advice used to be simple: look at the directories, see what other therapists in your area are charging, and pick a number that feels about right.

But for many therapists, pricing in this way has slowly killed their private practices.

Proving in this way is about a lack of confidence. Self-doubt. Money guilt. Fear of losing clients. Questions about what’s fair, ethical, and sustainable. And little teaching about systems and processes that will keep your practice afloat.

Many therapists I speak to don’t know how to calculate a fee on paper, and find themselves wondering:

• Am I charging too much?
• Am I experienced enough to charge this?
• What if clients can’t afford it?
• What if nobody books?

The Prosper in Private Practice Summit (21–26 June, free) is designed to help therapists navigate the realities of private practice through honest, practical conversations from people who understand the unique challenges of running an ethical therapy practice.

I’m one of 25+ speakers, and my talk is:

Pricing in Private Practice: Charging with Confidence and Clarity

We’ll explore sustainable pricing, common fee-setting challenges therapists face, and how confidence and self-trust can support clearer financial decisions in private practice.

One thing I’ve noticed lately is how many therapists are quietly questioning what comes next.

Not because they aren’t good therapists.

Not because they don’t care deeply about their work.

But because private practice, career development, marketing, AI, referrals, finances, supervision and professional growth can all feel like they’re changing at once.

The way clients find therapists is evolving.

AI is beginning to influence how people search for support.

And many therapists are wondering how to build a practice that feels both sustainable and authentic.

That’s exactly why I’m delighted to be speaking at the Prosper in Private Practice Virtual Summit this June - a free online event for therapists who want to navigate what’s changing without panic, pressure, or feeling like they need to become someone they’re not.

I’ll be sharing a session on: Pricing in Private Practice: Charging with Confidence and Clarity

Alongside my session, there are 25+ talks covering:

✨ Visibility and marketing
✨ Sustainable private practice
✨ Money and business
✨ AI and therapy
✨ Ethical marketing
✨ Therapist wellbeing
✨ And much more

The summit runs from 23–25 June.

Pre-recorded talks are released at 9am each day and are available free for 48 hours, with two live sessions bookending the event.

🌿 Free to register.
