A wonderful final wrap-up session for our Bodhicaryāvātāra study group last Saturday! 🙏

We’re taking a short break as we head off to France for the Summer Course next month, where Lama Jampa Thaye will teach the next part of the text. We’ll then resume our study group in the autumn to continue unpacking those teachings together.

Anyone keen to deepen their understanding of Mahayana Buddhism is very welcome to join us when we return!

What a historic weekend it was on 11th–12th July, as HH Sakya Gongma Trichen, the 41st Sakya Trizin, and HH Sakya Gongma Trizin, the 43rd Sakya Trizin, visited London at the invitation of Lama Jampa Thaye - co-hosted by Dechen London and Dechen Bristol. Over 700 practitioners gathered at Kensington Town Hall for three profound initiations, a truly unforgettable occasion for our whole community.

We were deeply honoured to host HH Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche (the 41st Sakya Trizin) and HH the 43rd Sakya Trizin, Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, at Kensington Town Hall on 11–12 July - two of the living holders of the Sakya tradition, together in London.
Sharing this lovely write-up from Lama Jampa Thaye, who welcomed Their Holinesses and helped bring this rare and precious weekend together. Over 700 of you joined us to receive initiations and blessings, and we're still feeling the joy of it all.

🎡 Happy Chökhor Düchen! ✨

Today marks Chökhor Düchen - the day Buddha Shakyamuni gave his first teaching, turning the Wheel of Dharma and sharing the Four Noble Truths at Sarnath.

🕊️ To celebrate, this Sunday at 10:30am we will recite the beautiful Twelve Deeds and Sixteen Sthaviras prayers.

From July 10-July 12 London was blessed by a rare and precious occasion which brought together the 41st and 43rd throne holders of Sakya thus offering a living expression of the unbroken continuity of the lineage through initiations and blessings.

Yesterday in London, His Holiness the 43rd Sakya Trizin Gyana Vajra Rinpoche bestowed Vajrakilaya Torma blessing and in the afternoon, His Holiness Sakya Gongma Trichen Rinpoche bestowed the Initiation of Amitayus & Hayagriva at the invitation of Lama Jampa Thaye and hosted by Dechen London and Dechen Bristol.
