Please can I ask for your support. NHSE are consulting on plans to move children’s cancer services from St George’s Hospital & The Royal Marsden to Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital. This will ignore the multidisciplinary skills, developed over 25 years, between St George’s and the Marsden to look after children with cancer and place them in a hospital with no expertise. Wider knock on effects will start the further down grading of services at St George’s including intensive care, surgery and other specialist services like respiratory, gastroenterology and so on.
St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the specialist hospital for children in South West London and Surrey.
