Today is World Alzheimer’s Day. 💜

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia, but it’s not the only one. Dementia can also bring changes in behaviour that may be confusing or upsetting for families such as repetition, agitation, or asking the same question again and again.

These behaviours aren’t simply things to “fix” or argue against. They can be a sign of an unmet need, discomfort, or simply that the world feels less familiar.

Our carers are trained to respond with patience and understanding looking beyond the behaviour, meeting people where they are, and helping them feel safe and supported.
