Milkshake but upleveled !!

If you’re navigating the heat while staying on track with your low-carb goals.

Instead of reaching for sugar, I blended up this Erewhon-inspired Malty Vanilla & Cardamom Adaptogen Frappe.

It’s thick, frosty, and specifically formulated to shift a grumpy mood while keeping blood sugar completely stable.

What’s inside & why:

Under ripe Banana: Provides a thick, creamy milkshake texture rich in resistant starch (a prebiotic fibre) without the glycemic spike of a ripe banana.
Maca & Vanilla: A natural, malty, caramel-like flavour profile that tricks the palate into thinking it’s a decadent treat.
Cardamom: A bright, aromatic spice used traditionally to uplift the spirit, clarify the mind, and cut through the heat.
The Adaptogen Blend: A potent synergy of Lion’s Mane (for mental clarity) and Ashwagandha (to lower cortisol and smooth out a stressful day) and the Maca for a bit of energy!

Clean, cooling, and completely aligned with low-carb eating.

Recipe

300ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 (Unripe) Banana
1 tsp Maca Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
A generous pinch of Ground Cardamom
1 tsp each: Lion’s Mane, Ashwagandha
Pinch of sea salt & plenty of ice.

Blend until smooth.

Sometimes being a herbalist has its perks… dipping into the dispensary 💚🌿

I know most people don’t keep Scutellaria lateriflora (skullcap) in the kitchen cupboard—but today it became the star of the most delicious frappé.

1 Tsp Matcha
Banana
2 tsp Tahini
Almond milk
Tsp of skullcap powder

Lots of ice and blended until smooth

I think I’m calling it the Scut Lat Latte Frappé.

Creamy, earthy, slightly nutty, with the gentle pick me up of matcha and the beautiful calming chilled addition of skullcap. Better than Erewhon!

I think it would be great without the skullcap if you have matcha.

It was so delicious 🤤 wow ! Please herbies make this and tell me what you think 💚🌿

In this kind of heat, our bodies lose a lot of essential minerals through sweat, which directly impacts how our skin looks and feels.

As a naturopath and herbalist, I formulated Beau*ty to treat your skin and digestive system from the inside out. All health, especially skin health starts in the gut, which is why this blend works on both systems simultaneously.

It contains nettle leaf to replenish vital minerals, calendula and rose to soothe the skin, and a combination of lemon balm, chamomile, and orange peel to support your digestion after a meal.

Brewed ahead, chilled, and served over ice with a fresh slice of orange, it genuinely feels like a spa treatment in a glass.

This blend is part of The Ritual Collection by 11:11 Herbs, a line of five distinct tea blends designed to support your body’s natural rhythms throughout the day.

Make sure to follow our page for the official launch date announcement so you don’t miss out.

Are you struggling to focus in the heat?

Meet Clarity, the ultimate summer antidote and one of five signature blends soon to be released in my upcoming Ritual Collection.

As a qualified naturopath and herbalist, I’ve formulated each blend from scratch.

For Clarity, I carefully selected each botanical to help you beat the brain fog when the temperature rises.
Mint and lemon verbena act as a natural cooling duo to instantly refresh your senses.
Ginkgo and rosemary are powerful traditional herbs known to spark circulation, clear the cobwebs, and help you think.
And holy basil and lemon balm keep you calm, grounded, and focused through the midday slump.

It is the most perfect drink brewed ahead, chilled, and served over ice with a fresh slice of lime.

Today’s hot-weather tip

🌿 Peppermint for cooling
🌿 Lemon balm for calm
💧 Water for hydration
✨ Electrolytes to replenish what the heat takes away

When we sweat, we lose more than water.
We lose minerals too.

A few sprigs from the garden, a glass of cold water, and a little mineral support can be a simple way to help your body stay refreshed on hot days.

Sometimes self-care isn’t complicated.

Sometimes it’s just resting in the shade with a cool glass in your hand.

Some herbs do more than heal the body.

Some feel like a hug.

Rose is one of those herbs. When I add it to a tincture, I often think of it as a hug in a bottle—softening tension, lifting the spirits, reminding us to stay open when life has encouraged us to close.

And then there’s Tilia (linden/lime blossom), a hug disguised as a tree. Its heart-shaped leaves seem to reveal its nature at first glance. Beneath its branches, people have gathered for centuries to rest, connect, and find comfort. The flowers make one of the gentlest, most soothing teas in herbal medicine.

We often think of herbs as medicines, and they are. But they are also companions. They offer comfort, beauty, nourishment, and a quiet kind of support that can’t always be measured.

Rose and Tilia remind me that healing isn’t only about fixing what’s wrong. Sometimes it’s about feeling held.

What herbs feel like a hug to you? 🌹🍃
