If Christmas and New Year sometimes feel too much, and you want to escape the rush, family obligations and expectations that can come with this time of year, I’d love to invite you to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands for some soul-nourishing yoga in the sunshine.

I know Christmas and New Year can bring up a lot for people, including the lack of sunshine, and that’s why I started hosting my now award-winning winter retreats, which have since been featured in The Guardian as one of the best Christmas getaways.

My retreats offer yoga, meditation, breath-work, sound healing and, on the New Year retreat, a cacao and manifestation ceremony. We laugh, relax and meet some lovely, like-minded people.

My teaching brings together Eastern philosophy, yoga and healing practices, with plenty of fun. It’s not about being serious or perfect.

All levels are welcome, and I can adapt the practices to suit you.

I’ve put this January retreat on because in the past, people have asked if I have another date, as they can’t make my Christmas or New Year retreats over the winter holidays.

I’m a multi-award winning retreat business and teacher who has been hosting since 2013 with features in the Guardian, Huffington post and OM yoga magazines.

This January yoga, detox is for anyone who would love to start the year with a little reset, some sunshine and lots of lovely wellness.

And you definitely don’t need to be a yogi as I have all levels attending and I will look after you on the mat regardless of your previous experience.

On this retreat we have yoga, meditation, breath-work, sound healing, core and abs exercises, with plenty of time between the sessions to enjoy the beautiful beaches and sites in Lanzarote, or make the most of the massage therapists and other treatments on site at the villa, which has a heated pool, tennis court and plenty of space to relax.

Our plant based chef makes delicious food which is completely gluten, wheat, dairy and sugar free.

Many solo travellers attend my retreats so don't be shy to come alone.

🙏🏾I started hosting winter retreats as I always felt down over Christmas and NY and so I used to attend retreats myself. Finally after I stopped ignoring the voice that kept saying ‘you should be hosting retreats’ - and stopped allowing fear to debilitate me, I took a big risk ( gulp 😲) and hosted my first retreat in 2013 and never looked back. What a journey and what wonderful people I have met along the way and have many more to still meet ✨✨
