One year on and I could not be more proud of what she has achieved. 🩷

During a really stressful week recently, my client Marcia, didn't turn to food. For someone who used to reach for croissants during stressful moments, this is everything.

A year on from completing my weight loss programme, here is what she has maintained and built on:

🧠 Managing stress without turning to food
🍽️ Planning ahead for meals out and social occasions - even letting hosts know in advance she is working on eating more healthily
😌 Reduced emotional eating and slowing down at mealtimes
💧 Water intake up significantly
🚶 Back to tennis after a leg injury, building gym confidence and walking more
📚 Now educating the people around her about healthy eating

She loved the programme so much she has just completed her second 12 weeks and has been coming to Check-In Club (my weekly drop-in session for past and existing clients) since January.

This is what sustainable change looks like. Not a quick fix - a whole new way of living.

I am so incredibly proud of her. 👏🏽

I am so excited to share that I have officially upgraded my professional registration - I am now a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with a specialism in Public Health with the Association for Nutrition. 🎉

For those who know me, I started out as a Registered Associate Nutritionist and this upgrade to Registered Nutritionist is the highest level of professional registration available.

It is not automatic - I had to submit a detailed portfolio of evidence from my practice, demonstrate that I meet a rigorous set of professional competencies and have it all reviewed and approved by an independent assessor.

It has taken a lot of hard work and I am incredibly proud to have achieved it.

It has been a journey and I am so grateful to every client who has trusted me along the way. 🩷

If they ever made a documentary called "Carbs on Trial," I think we all know the verdict already... not guilty. 🍞⚖️

I hear this nearly every week - carbs are not the enemy.

Starchy carbohydrates like bread, rice and pasta are our main source of energy. They fuel our brain and muscles, helping them function properly, which is one of the main reasons they are an important part of a healthy, balanced diet.

So what actually matters? It's not whether you eat carbs - it's the type, the portion size, how you cook them and what you add to them.

A few simple tips:

•Choose wholegrain where possible - the fibre is great for gut health and helps keep you fuller for longer
•Aim for around ¼ of your plate at meals to be starchy carbohydrates
•Opt for healthier cooking methods, like oven-baking or air frying instead of deep frying
•Use herbs and spices for flavour rather than reaching for extra salt

Starchy carbs are meant to be enjoyed, not ignored. Tag a friend who's been told to cut carbs!👇🏽

Running on coffee and skipping lunch? You are not alone, and trust me, it's not helping. ☕

I see this so often with the women I work with - busy days, juggling everything, and food becomes the last thing on the list. It feels harmless... until the 8pm biscuit tin moment hits, or you're exhausted and snapping at everyone by 4pm.

Here's the thing, skipping meals doesn't make you "good." It often leads to overeating later, blood sugar crashes, low energy, and reaching for whatever's quickest rather than what actually nourishes you.

Eating regularly through the day genuinely helps you:

🍽️ Feel less controlled by cravings
⚖️ Keep your energy steady, not up and down
🧠 Think about food less, not more
✅ Make calmer, more enjoyable choices

You don't need to change everything overnight - just start small, and you'll feel the difference. 🩷

If this sounds like you, drop me a message. I would love to help.

5 episodes of Menopause: A Midlife Rebrand - and what a milestone! 🎙️🎉

Margaret, Reshma and I created this podcast because we wanted women to feel supported and truly understood through one of life's biggest transitions.

And just as importantly, we wanted to reach the people around them too - partners, children, colleagues, friends, family, because menopause is not just a women's issue. Everyone deserves access to safe, reliable and trusted guidance. 🩷

So far we have covered:
• What is menopause?
• The first signs and symptoms
• The effect on relationships, family and work
• How to have the conversation

Episode 5 (out now!) explores something really close to my heart: the huge impact menopause can have on a woman's self-identity and confidence. We talk about the challenges of navigating change, letting go of old expectations and embracing the opportunity to reconnect with yourself.

I am so proud of what we are building and here's to many more episodes! 🫶🏽

What a brilliant day! 🙌🏽
On Friday I had the honour of being invited to speak at the 20th anniversary of the British Library’s Business & IP Centre at the Dugdale Centre.

I delivered a talk on why healthy eating matters for business owners and shared lots of practical tips for nutritious snacking. I was completely overwhelmed by the positive feedback. Comments included "impressive", "you are your brand" and "I liked the way you spoke about why you do this", which truly meant the world. 🩷

I was also joined by some fantastic fellow speakers whose talks were brilliant - I left with so much to take away myself. The networking portion of the day was a real highlight too.

A huge thank you to Zoe White for organising such a wonderful event and to the Dugdale Centre for hosting us. It is days like this that remind me how truly grateful I am that this is my job.

The power of looking up a menu in advance. 🍽️

One of my clients recently went to the theatre with her daughter, with dinner in a restaurant beforehand. Eating out used to be a real struggle for her - so much choice, large portions, and that familiar sense of overwhelm.

This time was different. Beforehand, she and her daughter discussed a few restaurant options she felt happy with, and that aligned with her goals.

The result was a much calmer dining experience - no stress, no guilt, and food that she had chosen. Not influenced by being overly hungry, by what her daughter was ordering, or by a rushed, impulsive decision, but by the time she had spent beforehand reading the menu.

You're probably thinking - who has time for that?

This is where I come in. It's a simple technique, but teaching clients tools like this means they can enjoy eating out and stay on track with their goals - no restriction, no rules, no "making up" for it afterwards. 🩷

Food is about joy and connection, not fear.
