⭐️ DEMENTIA FRIENDS - FREE COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS ⭐️

Raising awareness of dementia is important to us! 💐

More and more people across the UK are being diagnosed with the condition, which is why it's important we work together to support those who live with it.

Did you know that we run FREE Dementia Friends sessions in our area for businesses, organisations and community groups 😊 🗒️ 🎈

Our Community Engagement Manager, Nathan Hartley, has created more than 100 dementia friends over the last 12 months - sharing useful information with anyone that attends our workshops!

💙 If you're caring for a parent or partner living with dementia, this is for you.

It's easy to lose sight of where "family member" ends and "carer" begins. The appointments, the routines, the constant watching for changes - it adds up, even when you'd do it all again without hesitation.

Getting a bit of extra support doesn't mean stepping back from someone you love. It means making a little space to still be their daughter, son, husband or wife. Not just the person managing everything.

💙 We are deeply saddened by the news that Roy Burnham – the Prime Minister’s father – has died. Roy had been living with Alzheimer’s disease.

The loss of a parent leaves an immeasurable gap in our lives.

While every family's experience is unique, many of us understand the long and often challenging journey that Alzheimer's disease can bring, not only for the person living with the condition but for those who love them.

🙏 We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and to anyone else who has experienced the heartache of losing someone to dementia.
