We now have a varied online schedule with live classes streamed through Facebook live and Zoom 6 days a week, which you can also enjoy on catch up. 🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️ Hello Friends! Our son George Wrafter ran the half London Landmarks Half Marathon this year for Wave Hub and he is now only £22 off raising £1.5k!! Please can anyone help him reach this incredible amount?!!!

The Wave Hub is an inclusive space for adults with and without learning disability based in Muswell Hill, and it relies solely on charitable donations. George and I both love working there, and we really appreciate any support that you can give. ❤️🙏🏼 (link below)

🙏🏼🫶🏽 I’m preparing my final assignment for my therapy training course, which is a presentation about who I am as a therapist - what my world view is, my beliefs, my moral framework, and which schools of therapy I will use (or reject).

🙏🏼🫶🏽 So often in my training, I will relate a lesson to a part of the ancient yoga philosophy eg Maslov’s hierarchy of needs to the chakra system, CBT mindfulness to the yoga sutras which remind us right at the beginning that the purpose of yoga is to calm the chitter chatter of the mind and see beyond our thoughts, and somehow to observe them rather than attach to them.

🙏🏼🫶🏽 I’ve been privileged to have done almost 300 clinical hours now and so often when I’m with a client I will be resonating with a yoga philosophy, as well as the learnings from my course.

🙏🏼🫶🏽 The yoga philosophy is over 2000 years old and it’s clear to see that as humans, in many ways we haven’t really changed. We ruminate, we self doubt, we get struck by grief and fear, we mute our voice and dim our power. We get hurt and don’t know how to recover.

🙏🏼🫶🏽 “Svhadyaya” is self study, it’s having the courage and wisdom to look at yourself objectively, so that you can move forward as your best self, letting go of old patterns (“samskaras” in yoga, “family scripts” in therapy). It takes courage and self compassion, and time.

🙏🏼🫶🏽 For me, balancing on the yoga mat and sitting in the therapy chair ultimately bring the same thing - a space to reflect, heal, forgive (self and others), feel what needs feeling even if it’s uncomfortable, and move towards “enlightenment” (yoga) or “self actualisation” in therapy.

🙏🏼🫶🏽 I’m looking forward to qualifying in June this year and seeing how the yoga and therapy will continue to inform and support me.

🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️ Another great morning at today! Fun for all at the fitness class and then connection and stretch in the yoga class afterwards. The (wave) hub is an inclusive and welcoming space for adults with them without learning disabilities in Muswell Hill.

🩷🩷🩷 It relies solely on charitable donations, and we are proud to share that our son George will be running in the half marathon in London on Sunday to raise money for this very worthy cause.
