We are so pleased to celebrate our lovely volunteer Suri at St David's Care Home 💜

Suri is currently working towards her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award, and has been spending time with us for a while now. Our wonderful residents always look forward to her visits, and she has become a much loved part of the home.

She enjoys getting involved in all sorts of activities, from gardening and planting when the weather allows, to lively table tennis matches and quiz mornings filled with laughter and friendly competition 🌿🏓

Thank you Suri for all the joy, smiles and time you bring to our residents. It really means so much 😊

What a wonderful Saturday morning last week we enjoyed in the gardens at St David's Care Home ! ☀️🌿

Our wonderful residents had a fantastic time at our Bubble Party, filled with music, laughter, and plenty of fun activities. The morning included gentle ball games, an engaging quiz, and relaxing somatic chair yoga, all enjoyed in the beautiful sunshine.

We rounded off the morning with refreshments and lots of cheerful conversation, giving everyone the chance to relax and socialise together.

It was lovely to see so many smiles as residents moved, reminisced, and enjoyed each other’s company in the fresh air. Moments like these remind us that some of the greatest joys come from spending time together and making happy memories. 💜✨

Yesterday at St David's Care Home , we had a truly special celebration for our lovely Chrissie as she retired after almost 20 years as our wonderful receptionist 💜

The home was filled with balloons, banners, cakes and beautiful flowers, along with photos looking back on her many years with us. Our amazing residents, staff and families all joined together to share memories, laughter and plenty of heartfelt moments as we said thank you for everything she has done over the years 😊

Chrissie has been such a familiar and friendly face at St David’s, always welcoming everyone with kindness, a smile and a moment for a chat. She will be so missed, but we are wishing her all the happiness, relaxation and adventure in this next chapter 💜

Happy World Baking Day from St David's Care Home ! 🎉

There’s nothing quite like the smell of home baking to brighten the day! Our lovely residents had a brilliant time in the activities room with Agata and Ann today, baking delicious cupcakes served with fresh mango and strawberries. It was wonderful seeing everyone so engaged and enjoying the whole baking process. 🧁🍓

We celebrated International Day of Families with a fantastic Arts & Crafts Workshop ❤️

Our lovely residents enjoyed creating beautiful family tree collages using pre-cut vintage photographs, decorations and captions. 🌳

A very special visitor stopped by St David's Care Home this week and it is safe to say Coco the therapy dog stole a few hearts 🐶💜

Our residents loved spending time with him, with plenty of cuddles, smiles and gentle chats along the way. Even our team enjoyed sneaking in a fuss with Coco while he made his way around the home 😊

There is just something about a dog’s company that brings such a lovely calm to the day, and Coco certainly did that for all of us 💜

Today at St David's Care Home , we spent some time celebrating our wonderful nurses for International Nurses Day 💜

Satinder and Laxmi joined residents and the team in our activity room to say a big thank you to the amazing people who bring so much kindness, patience, and care to our home every single day. There was cake, thoughtful little gifts, and plenty of appreciation shared all round 🌷

We are so grateful for everything our nursing team does for our residents and their families. A lovely afternoon celebrating some very special people 😊

We had a wonderful time celebrating St George’s Day together recently at St David's Care Home 🎶💜

Our amazing residents, staff and visitors gathered to enjoy good company, delicious scones and a lovely live music performance from Paul, who filled the room with traditional English tunes that everyone recognised and loved 😊

There was plenty of singing, dancing and smiling throughout the morning, with the music bringing back happy memories and sparking lots of conversation along the way. The atmosphere was warm, cheerful and full of community spirit.

A really lovely celebration that brought everyone together through music, laughter and shared moments.

Today we hosted our lovely “Time for a Cuppa” morning here at St David's Care Home ☕💜

Our wonderful residents came together to enjoy tea, cake and plenty of reminiscing conversations, while helping to raise awareness and understanding of what it can feel like to live with dementia. There were lots of smiles around the table as everyone joined in with a fun quiz, shared memories and enjoyed each other’s company 😊

The strawberries and cakes went down a treat, especially alongside a good cup of tea and a chat 🍓🍰

These gentle social moments can mean so much, bringing comfort, connection and joy to everyone involved. A big thank you to all of our residents and team who helped make the morning feel so warm and special 💜
