What are you doing now for the woman you’ll be at 50 or 60? 💛

Your forties are not the decade to start ignoring your health.

This is often when changes in hormones, muscle, bone density, sleep, metabolism and cardiovascular health start becoming more noticeable — and waiting until something goes wrong is not the best strategy.

Think strength. Think bone health. Think blood pressure, cholesterol, sleep and metabolic health — not just the number on the scales.

What are you doing now for your future health? Comment below!

PCOS has been renamed, and here’s why…

The new name, Polyglandular Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), recognises that this condition affects far more than periods and ovulation.

👉 For years, the focus has been on irregular periods, fertility and symptoms such as acne and excess hair growth.
👉 However, many women also experience insulin resistance, making it easier to gain weight and much harder to lose it.
👉 PMOS is also associated with an increased risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes and abnormal cholesterol levels.
👉 The new name better reflects the important metabolic aspects of the condition, not just the reproductive symptoms.

If you’re living with PCOS (PMOS), which symptom has affected you the most?

Are you prioritising strength training in your weekly routine?

Strength training isn't just about building muscle—it's one of the most powerful things you can do for your long-term health, especially during perimenopause and menopause.

Research suggests that around 90–120 minutes of strength training per week may help:

👉 Preserve muscle mass
👉 Support bone health
👉 Improve metabolic health and insulin sensitivity
👉 Reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease
👉 Promote healthier ageing and maintain independence

When combined with regular aerobic exercise, the benefits may be even greater.

How many strength training sessions do you currently do each week? Let us know in the comments below. 💪

Feeling constantly tired, anxious, wired, or emotionally overwhelmed lately?

It may not just be “stress.” Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can have a huge impact on your nervous system, sleep, mood, and ability to cope day to day.

As oestrogen, progesterone, and testosterone decline, many women notice:

• Lighter, disrupted sleep
• Higher cortisol and stress levels
• Feeling overstimulated or emotionally reactive
• Anxiety or low mood
• Exhaustion despite resting
• Difficulty switching off

Which symptom has been affecting you the most lately?

Have you been feeling constantly overwhelmed lately… like your brain can’t switch off, everything feels too much, or even small tasks suddenly feel exhausting? 🤍

👉 During perimenopause, changing hormone levels can affect the nervous system, mood, sleep and stress response.
👉 Many women notice they feel more emotionally overwhelmed, anxious or mentally exhausted than they used to.
👉 Poor sleep, brain fog, fluctuating hormones and the mental load of midlife can all build up at the same time.
👉 Your body can become more sensitive to stress, meaning everyday pressures may suddenly feel much harder to cope with.
👉 This is why supporting your nervous system becomes so important during perimenopause.
👉 One simple thing that can help is stepping outside for a 5–10 minute walk without your phone.
👉 Fresh air, movement and slowing down your nervous system can help reduce feelings of overwhelm and bring you back into the present moment.
👉 Simple breathing exercises, prioritising rest and keeping blood sugar balanced may also help you feel more regulated.

What’s one thing that helps you feel calmer when life feels overwhelming? ✨
