I’ve been taking a closer look at UltraClearUK | Cold Fibre Laser an exciting new laser technology that offers effective skin rejuvenation with less downtime than many traditional laser treatments.

In my practice, I see particular potential for skin resurfacing around the eyelids and perioral area in facelift patients, as well as supporting scar optimisation following surgery.

Patient Testimonial | Deep Plane Neck Lift

For this patient, deciding to have surgery was a two-year journey. After extensive research and consultations, she chose to undergo a deep plane neck lift with Mr Townley.

Facelift, Neck Lift & Endoscopic Brow Lift | Patient Case

At 57, this patient described feeling completely young in herself, but increasingly disconnected from the person she saw in the mirror and in photographs.

As a professional diver, maintaining a natural and balanced result was particularly important to her.

Her procedure combined an endoscopic brow lift, endoscopic-assisted deep plane facelift and deep neck lift, addressing the brow, mid and lower face, and neck as part of a tailored approach to facial rejuvenation.

The aim was not to change who she was, but to restore the features that made her feel more like herself again with a natural, harmonious result.

Yesterday was a real highlight at the BAAPS Annual Conference in London, as part of the joint BAAPS & ESAPS 2026 meeting.

It was a privilege to deliver two expert lectures, including one on my ultrasonic technique for rhinoplasty. Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions and joined the conversation.

Conferences like this are what the specialty is all about, sharing ideas, learning from one another and raising standards for patients everywhere.

Deep Neck Lift | 9 months post-op

A recent deep neck lift result, shown here at 9 months post-operatively.

This procedure involved full-volume reduction, including the submandibular glands, alongside deep-plane suspension of the platysma muscle to refine the neck and improve definition.

The change is particularly evident in the flexed neck view, where the improvement in contour can be clearly appreciated.

The post-operative views also show the incision beneath the chin, which is positioned discreetly to allow access while remaining well concealed.

Rhinoplasty | 18 months post-operative

At this stage, the result has fully settled, allowing us to appreciate the finer details of the outcome - including the very inconspicuous scar, which has blended closely with the surrounding skin, and the excellent symmetry of the nostrils.

Piezo rhinoplasty uses ultrasonic energy to precisely reshape the nasal bones, allowing for controlled and accurate surgical refinement.

Every rhinoplasty is individually planned around the patient’s facial anatomy and desired outcome, with the aim of achieving a natural, balanced result.

A Memorable End to a Day of Teaching

A wonderful surprise at the end of a busy day of teaching in San Antonio.

Following my Grand Rounds lecture on facelift and advanced neck contouring surgery, and the subsequent cadaveric anatomical demonstration with the residents, I was honoured to be presented with a plaque by the Head of Plastic Surgery as a thank you for the teaching.

It was a privilege to share knowledge and surgical experience with the residents and faculty, and I’m very grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality.
