Jason’s Monday Mindset
Not every quiet person is coping.
It’s easy to assume that if someone is getting on with life, going to work, looking after their family or laughing with friends, then everything must be okay.
The truth is, many people become quieter when they’re struggling.
They keep going because they feel they have to. They tell themselves they’ll deal with it later. They don’t want to burden anyone, or they worry that others won’t understand.
Sometimes the signs are subtle:
* Withdrawing from conversations.
* Saying, “I’m just tired.”
* Losing interest in things they once enjoyed.
* Becoming more irritable or impatient than usual.
* Putting on a brave face while feeling overwhelmed inside.
This week, if someone comes to mind, take a moment to check in with them.
Instead of asking, “Are you okay?”, try asking,
“How have you really been lately?”
And if you’re the quiet one, remember this…
You don’t have to reach breaking point before asking for help.
Reaching out isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s often the first step towards feeling understood, supported and finding a way forward.
Wishing you all a peaceful week.
