We’ve been getting creative at Acton Care Centre as we kick off World Alzheimer’s Month 🎨💜

Our wonderful residents enjoyed an afternoon making their own colourful kites, with lots of chatting and creativity along the way. It was lovely seeing everyone getting stuck in and putting their own ideas into their designs.

A lovely way to spend an afternoon together and celebrate the joy that creative activities can bring 😊

We had such a lovely time over Carnival Weekend here at Acton Care Centre 🎉💜

Our garden unit came to life with music from DJ Juan, and it didn’t take long before toes were tapping and a few of our residents were up for a little dance too 🎶 There was plenty of laughter, a great atmosphere, and lots of shared moments that made the afternoon feel really special

It was one of those days where everyone just enjoyed being together, with music bringing it all to life in the best way 💃🌼

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

🌭☀️ What a lovely day we had at Acton Care Centre for our annual BBQ!

Our wonderful residents enjoyed spending time with family and friends, with music playing, plenty of good food and, of course, ice creams to cool everyone down 🍦💜 It was wonderful seeing everyone relaxing together and making the most of a sunny day at our home.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. We are already looking forward to the next one! 🎶

A little throwback to National Book Lovers Day at Acton Care Centre ! 📚✨

Our wonderful residents have started their very own book club, choosing books from the bookcases around the home and then getting together to chat about what they have been reading. There have already been some lovely conversations, shared memories and plenty of opinions about favourite stories 📖

It has been wonderful to see our residents enjoying books together and discovering what catches each other’s interest. There is nothing quite like a good book and a good chat over a cup of tea ☕💜

Recently at Acton Care Centre , we celebrated World Photography Day with one of our talented residents, who has a wonderful history as a photographer! 📸✨

He joined us for a special afternoon capturing lovely moments around our home, from fun photos with our residents to family pictures with loved ones. It was a lovely way to celebrate his passion while creating some memories of our own 💜

We had a lovely reason to celebrate at our home as our residents and team came together for a special baby shower for Mansi and Andrea 🎉👶💜

Our residents were delighted to be part of the celebrations, sharing in the excitement and helping make the day extra special. It was such a lovely opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate two very special members of our team.

Wishing Mansi and Andrea all the very best for this exciting new chapter. We can’t wait to hear all about the little ones when they arrive! 💕

Our wonderful residents from Acton Care Centre enjoyed a lovely day out to Southend-on-Sea! 🌊💜

There was plenty to enjoy, from tucking into delicious fish and chips by the seaside to taking a trip along the famous pier. It was wonderful to see everyone taking in the views, enjoying the fresh sea air and making some lovely memories together 🚂🐟

A fantastic day out with great company, good food and plenty of smiles 😊

July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫

Alongside the celebrations, there were all the little moments that make each month what it is, catching up with friends, enjoying favourite activities and making the most of the summer days.

What better way to cool down than with a visit from the ice cream van? 🍦

Our wonderful residents at Acton Care Centre were all smiles as Mandeep from Deejays ice cream stopped by with free ice creams for everyone. There were plenty of laughs as residents and our team queued up for their favourite flavours, and we made sure all our residents were included. It was such a thoughtful gesture and one that brought lots of happy faces all around 💜

A huge thank you to Mandeep for his kindness and generosity. It was a lovely surprise that certainly made our day a little sweeter 😊
