From Autumn looking back at summer… creepers creeping, the warmest Halloween themed birthday party ever, school runs, weekends, carpet finally in our bedrooms, date nights, summer dreams by the sea, the roof box (a game changer), reading by candlelight, allotment days and July’s sound bath.

I have a newsletter thinking about the changing season I’m working on for later this week. If you don’t already get it you can sign up on my site. Xx

Slow Flow yoga on a Wednesday evening is moving to 7-8pm from 14th October, to make it that little bit more convenient for some of you to make it.

Last night was suuuuper cosy in the studio for the first of the chillier evenings. Several yogis went for a sauna afterwards. I’ll definitely be joining them for that next week!

This session is for everyone - for all bodies and experience levels, and for everyone who hasn’t been on the mat for a while, or ever.

Autumn is such a good time to create positive rhythms and rituals to carry us through the darker and colder months before they fully arrive.

Join me for some midweek movement soon at Slow Flow on a Wednesday at Arvo x

Daytime sound baths where babies and little ones are welcome, so you can parent whilst receiving the soothing, healing sounds and some gentle movement and supported rest poses. It’s magical for helping to settle and recalibrate both your nervous systems.

During the session, I invite you into a series of optional restorative yoga poses you can do with you baby, to help you make the most of the opportunity to drop into the sound and yourself, whilst still caring for your babes.

No experience needed, and babies of any age are welcome - or come alone if that’s an option for you.

Autumn dates are up!

19th October (a few tickets left)
16th November
Early December tbc

Monthly Mondays 12.45-2pm at Trinity church on Orford Road, Walthamstow Village E17.

Tickets are available on my site sianhaestier.com (or head to the link in my bio).

Drop me a line with any questions, and I’ll see you soon.

Always a highlight of my week, and the class that’s at the heart of everything I do: Saturday morning pregnancy yoga in Walthamstow Village, at Trinity church.

Move to feel good in your changing body, take time to connect with yourself and your pregnancy, and meet others also navigating the way towards meeting their babe.

If you’re more than 12 weeks pregnant, I’d love for you come and join us and try prenatal yoga. It’s absolutely not about what it looks like, and very much about supporting you to feel more comfortable, more in your body, calmer, more grounded and connected to what makes you feel good right now. As I sometimes say, everything is better when we feel relaxed.

Just bring yourself, everything else is provided. Message me if you have any questions. Booking is on my site (in bio or just head to sianhaestier.com).

Photo dump from one of the best weekends I’ve had this year, thanks to Hannah and a beautiful group of fellow retreaters down in Devon.

Thank you for the incredible company, sea swims, big sleeps, nourishing movement, rest and sound healing in the yoga barn, delicious delicious delicious food (Theo we applaud you), and just the simple things… time to slow down, find real spaciousness in the day, read a book on my bed in the middle of the afternoon, and be looked after.

I couldn’t wish for a silly injury and a wooden spoon for a splint in a better place 🥰

After the summer holidays is my current favourite time to get away, and I’ve come back to London refreshed and grounded this week.

Working with injury (more about that in a future post perhaps) and limitations is weirdly a favourite of mine to bring into my practice on the mat. I appreciate a few creative big boundaries and parameters to respond to. Plus, there is nothing like temporarily losing my usual mobility to remind me of just how flippin grateful I am to live in this body and have the range of use of it that I enjoy most of the time.

So while my hand heals, there will be plenty of elbow dog, dolphin and forearm plank in classes. Such a great opportunity to explore a slightly different modality and focus to movement. Actually I feel incredibly strong in my thoracic area for it, more open in the back ribcage and tension-free in my cervical spine and jaw.

My new Walthamstow class is on Wednesday evenings at arvo.sauna and studio: slow flow, for all bodies and stages of life, at 6.30-7.30pm.

As you can see, the studio is lovely. See you there and enjoy the flow (slow it down in real life) in the meantime.

I will miss this dear ship Yoga On The Lane 🧡

I’ve sincerely adored teaching at this beautiful studio. Now the time to change gears has come, and last night was my final class on the schedule.

I’m so grateful to the whole team here for their warmth and support, and every person I’ve shared pregnancy yoga with here. Wednesday evenings here have a been an important part of my growth and development as a teacher over the past couple of years.

I can’t think of a time when opening up space for new things to grow hasn’t paid off, when it feels like right to.
The back to school vibes are building, and I’m excited for everyone’s next steps.

September dates are up for my 5-week Baby Massage course. It’s held in small groups at my home near Lloyd Park in Walthamstow, E17. There are 3 sessions to choose from: Tuesday 1.15pm, Wednesday 11.30am and Wednesday 1pm.

I would love you and your baby / babies to join us on this beautiful journey. 5 weeks is such a capsule in little ones lives. We’re at week 4 of the current course and it’s always now that I see how much the group has grown into themselves with babes so much more engaged, involved and also bigger than they were a few short weeks ago.

Touch and baby massage are incredible ways to co-regulate you and your baby’s nervous systems, soothing and giving you both a gorgeous oxytocin boost. Massaging your baby builds confidence, and gives you precious time together for connection and fun.

It’s hugely effective at helping babies feel more comfortable in their body - easing their transition into the world in the early months, supporting their developing digestive system and increasing muscle tone.

Over the weeks, we will gently explore touch and different holds, building up to giving a full body massage. The course aims to give you the skills and confidence to do a little or a lot, and incorporate massaging your baby into your lives in your own way.

Some much needed stretches for parents, along with tea, home bakes and chats. There’s a lot worse places to get nap trapped, but usually the really good naps happen afterwards.

The course is suitable for babies 4+ weeks up to active crawling, although of course massage doesn’t need to end there.

Ask me a questions anytime, and book online when you’re ready on my site (link in my bio).
