I’m pleased to have contributed to this newly published peer-reviewed study in JPRAS Open, exploring accessibility and inclusivity in NHS breast cancer information.

The publication examines how patient information can be made more accessible and representative for diverse populations, helping to improve understanding and support informed decision-making.

Every patient deserves access to clear, inclusive and evidence-based information. Contributing to research is one way we can continue advancing patient care beyond the operating theatre.

Thank you to all of the co-authors and collaborators involved in this important work.

Hearing that a patient felt listened to, informed, and genuinely supported throughout their treatment is every bit as important as the surgical result itself.

Plastic surgery is a partnership built on trust. From your first consultation, you should feel comfortable asking questions, understanding your options, and making decisions with confidence.

I’m grateful to this patient for taking the time to share their experience and for trusting me with their care.

Not every patient replacing their implants actually wants new implants.

For this patient, the goal was to remove her existing 240cc breast implants while restoring shape using her own tissue wherever possible.

The procedure included:
• Implant removal
• Mastopexy (breast lift)
• Auto augmentation using the patient’s own breast tissue
• Fat transfer from the thighs to refine volume and contour
• Ar**la reduction to improve proportion after stretching from the original augmentation

The result is a breast that feels more natural, moves naturally, and is uniquely tailored to her anatomy rather than relying on another implant.

Every breast rejuvenation procedure is different. The best approach depends on your anatomy, skin quality, tissue characteristics and, most importantly, your goals.

If you’re considering implant removal, your consultation should focus on understanding the options available to you, not assuming replacement implants are the only solution.

Plastic surgery isn’t about copying. It’s about creating the best result for the person sitting in front of me.

Social media is full of before and after photographs, but those images only tell part of the story.

Every patient has different anatomy, different skin quality, different bone structure and a different healing response. Even when two people have the same operation, their outcomes will never be identical.

Reference photographs are incredibly useful because they help me understand what you like. But they should never become a blueprint.

My job isn’t to recreate somebody else’s result. It’s to create the right result for you, one that suits your anatomy, your proportions and what can be achieved safely.

The best surgery isn’t about looking like somebody else. It’s about looking like yourself, only better.

Sizing tools, measurements and a careful assessment can help guide implant choices towards results that suit your proportions. Individual outcomes vary, so discussing your goals and the associated risks with a qualified surgeon is an important step.

Not every patient who has lost breast volume or developed mild drooping automatically needs a breast lift.

In some cases, carefully selected implants alone can restore volume, improve projection and provide an excellent result without the additional scars associated with a mastopexy.

This patient underwent breast augmentation using 350cc implants placed in the dual plane III pocket. She recovered well, returned to normal activities quickly and achieved a balanced, natural-looking outcome.

One of the most important conversations I have in clinic is with patients who sit on the borderline between needing a lift and being able to achieve their goals with implants alone.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. The right approach depends on your anatomy, skin quality, tissue characteristics and the result you’re hoping to achieve.

A thorough consultation allows us to explore all of the options and decide on the procedure that is most appropriate for you, not simply the most obvious one.

Patient feedback like this means a great deal to me.

From the very first consultation through to surgery and follow-up, my aim is for every patient to feel informed, reassured and genuinely cared for.

Abdominoplasty and mastopexy are significant procedures, and choosing to undergo surgery requires trust. Taking the time to explain every step, answer every question and support patients throughout their journey is just as important as the operation itself.

I’m incredibly grateful to receive reviews like this and to have been part of such a positive experience.

Thank you for placing your trust in me.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that loose skin happens because someone “didn’t exercise enough.”

It doesn’t.

Exercise is incredibly important for your health, maintaining muscle, and supporting weight loss. But it cannot restore skin that has permanently lost its elasticity.

Whether weight loss happens naturally or with medication such as Mounjaro or Wegovy, factors like your age, genetics, collagen quality, how much weight you’ve lost, how quickly you’ve lost it, and how long your skin has been stretched all play a significant role.

For many people, losing the weight is only part of the journey.

If excess skin is affecting your comfort, confidence or quality of life, there are surgical options that can remove redundant skin and restore more natural body proportions. Every patient is different, which is why treatment should always be tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

If you’ve experienced significant weight loss and are wondering what options may be available, I’d be happy to discuss them during a consultation.

⬅️ Swipe through to understand why loose skin develops and why it’s not a sign that you’ve done anything wrong.
